Okay. So, most of you already know but I thought I'd announce it for posterity. When my lease runs out in April I'm going to Korea to teach for a year. It's easier than you think! Just walk in, dangle your resignation letter in your boss's face and see how quickly they start throwing options at you. Although I'm sure it came across as me trying to make a point by literally shoving it in his face, I only did it because I freaked at the last minute, couldn't think of anything to say, and forced myself to make sure he saw what it was so I couldn't take it back!

There's really nothing to it, so I've come to learn. I would suggest telling them as soon as possible (once you are 100% with it) in order to train someone to take over for you. Easiest way to ensure returning to the job as a Plan B. Plan B is always good to have.

Myself, I am seriously considering the JET program (basically the same thing as the Korea deal, except you go to Japan). Of course I have to get my BA first, but Im working on that.
