So I saw Prometheus today.

And I'm really honestly ambivalent about it.  It's like I wanted to love it and I wanted to like it but I came away sort of disappointed and I have no idea why.

I really should stop comparing it to Alien, overall, because compared to Alien it just doesn't hold up as being a good film.

A lot has happened since I last posted an entry.  Kind of.

One: I tried archery.  I was just curious about it (um...from having seen The Avengers, TBH) and it was actually really fun.  Seriously.  I took a beginner's class at this place and I almost got a bull's eye at one point.  I'm thinking of going back, maybe when school is over, and shooting ( Read more... )

So I've figured out what to do about Russian.

Instead of studying Russian at UCLA for the summer, I'll just take Intermediate Russian at Cal State Long Beach, which would, theoretically, count for the 2A-2B-2C sequence.

Which, you know, I go to UCI.  We operate on the quarter system.  CSLB operates on the semester system.

So I had this massive plan to make fanmixes, make at least 50 icons, do some more drabbles, and, uh, real life got in the way.  So I'll just post what I have so far because at this point some points are better than no points, right?

So yesterday I got a haircut.
