Well, November was NaNoWriMo. Like the previous years I didn't write one 50k story, but I did write 50k words. This, however, means I didn't get much done in terms of art.
Art
Here's the icon I made:
42.
42. Played with a promoshot from 2x17 Coup d'État
And that's it. I still have a few days of vacation and will concentrate on my
sga_art_santa assignment now that NaNoWriMo is over.
Fanfic
I wrote 51,756 words in November, which is the most of this year (unsurprisingly).
This year, I didn't take vacation until the last week of November, but I still managed to stay ahead of the word count throughout the whole month, something which I only managed once before (in 2008), though I was close in other years.
I worked on quite a few stories this time around, so this will be a long list compared to the other months:
Tomorrow Is Another Day: My story for
mpregbigbang. A futuristic AU in which John is pregnant and Rodney is just back from Mars.
Human On The Inside: For the "Animalistic" prompt at
mcsheplets. John turns into a kitten.
Affection: An old fic I'd started ages ago, in which Rodney's body is turned into that of a baby and John takes care of him. I've actually outlined two parts and now finished writing the first.
Personal Body Heater: A little bit of morning fluff.
Private Partners: Some snippets of "Original Hewligan". I actually dreamed Joe and David were doing a show in which they were private detectives/adventurers who also happened to be married.
Morning Cuteness: For the "Cute" prompt at
mcsheplets. Rodney watches John sleep.
Growing Old Together: For the "Open Wound" prompt at
mcsheplets. After breaking up with Jennifer, Rodney finds that he doesn't feel as good as he should about something that was the right decision. A conversation with John clarifies a few things.
No Expectations: For the "Taste" prompt at
mcsheplets. John's boss at the flight school he works at after leaving Atlantis sets him up on a blind date with someone who's a bit of an asshole. You have one guess who it might turn out to be ;)
Magical: For the "Magical Eureka" prompt at
mcsheplets. Rodney is a wizard in the human world, who feels more comfortable there than with other wizards even if it means he can never have a relationship. Until he meets John.
All That Money Can Buy: For the "Green" prompt at
mcsheplets. Hookerfic. Rodney has more money than God. John is a high class escort.
Re-establishing: For the "separated from Earth" prompt at
mcsheplets. After many years on their own, Earth sends a ship to Atlantis. John worries about how this will affect his position as Atlantis' leader and his relationship with Rodney.
Magical Moment: For the "Magical" prompt at
mcsheplets. (I was surprised to see that I had two so similar prompts so close together; I don't know how that slipped through.) After many years, the right moment for them has finally come.
Not A Fairytale: For the "Hide" prompt at
mcsheplets. Cheating fic. John works as a consultant on Rodney's project and they hit it off immediately. What could have been a fairytale romance is complicated by the fact that Rodney is married to Jennifer. He doesn't trust that John is more than a momentary infatuation, but he can't resist him, so he starts an affair with John. Whatever he feels for John turns out to be not so temporary and Rodney is faced with finally making a decision.
A Different Strategy: "Are you dating Zelenka?" Rodney demanded when he'd finally found John in one of the puddlejumpers.
Realignment: For the "repair" prompt at
mcsheplets. Jennifer overhears an argument between John and Rodney and decides it's time to openly address a few things.
Two Suns and Four Confessions: For the "heat" prompt at
mcsheplets. Team Sheppard takes cover in the shade. While they kill time until sunset, John muses about his relationship with Rodney and Rodney learns what his teammates think about it.
Boxer Briefs: For the "underwear" prompt at
mcsheplets. Rodney reacts to seeing John in nothing but tight boxer briefs.
One thing I need to decide this month is what goals to set for myself for next year. And I need to look for beta readers, so that I can actually post the fics that I wrote this month.
