Dude, I'm sooooooo bummed. About a year ago I flogged off all my TOS books on Ebay in one lot. I had about a hundred of the pocket books, book club books, old comic books, etc., that I'd been collecting for about 20 years (I was 12 when Trek III came out). I would have happily sent them all to you. Bri warned me, he said there was a new movie and I was gonna regret it. Curses. I'll have a look around because I know I have a few more crack!comics around.
Diane Duane is made of awesome. I love the Garfield Reeve-Stevens, also. Prime Directive and Memory Prime are solid stories/plots and good technically. One of the good things about them is that their characterization isn't revoltingly bad. They also usually give a good dose of Uhura and Scotty in their plots, too. Peter David is okay. Some of the really old stuff (70's) that I had to dig around for when I first started out are a couple of books called The New Voyages. There is part one and two, and they're compiled by Sondra Marshak and another gal. One story, "The Mind
( ... )
Awwwwww. Hey, did you buy something nice with the cash? That's what counts. :)
I'm not too much of a collector, really. I figure I'll probably send some of the books around once I've read them, save the really great ones I'll re-read like Spock's World.
And I totally have a copy of How Much for Just the Planet? already, sweeeeeet! I really need to get to it. My obsession with Vulcans has distracted me, lol.
