Appearance Meme: Accelerator in CFUD
Clothing/Appearance:
Bodily Form: The light novels describe Accelerator as having "a wire-like slender body," and "skin that is so pale it’s terrifying, that it can be seen clearly even in the darkness." In other words, a scrawny albino. For someone as powerful as he is, he does not have much muscle mass or even toning. In the manga he himself states that he has a "genderless figure" thanks to a hormonal imbalance. I take this to mean that he looks somewhat androgynous because of his thin, girlish waist.
Eyes: Red like an albino. Frequently has bags under his eyes from poor sleep.
Hair: White and fluffily shaggy.
Clothing: Accelerator usually wears jeans, shoes, and his trademark shirt from the first two images above. He probably has several of them just because. There is another shirt he takes to wearing after his hospitalization in canon, in the third image, which he may wear here as well. Then there is the special choker and electrodes. Only depicted in images from newer canon or fanart so far, Accelerator's choker and its wires are always present. This connects him to the MISAKA Network, which he currently needs to function due to a traumatic brain injury. As of 5/18/2011 Accelerator also requires a cane to walk when not in ESPer Mode.
Special Note: Accelerator has a slightly muted scent thanks to his heavily concentrated AIM dispersion field. This is much more noticeable when he's in ESPer Mode, as those with heightened senses of smell may notice that it feels like he's not all there, it's so faint. In Normal Mode there's only a slight difference from other people.
Habits/Mannerisms/Body Language:
Walk: Accelerator walks at a slow, unstrenuous pace much of the time, often with his hands shoved in his pockets. If he sees fit, he can change the vectors under his feet in order to run at extremely fast speeds, or jump higher than most humans can. As of 5/18/2011 he must use a cane in order to support himself when walking, unless when in ESPer Mode.
Posture: Straight when standing/walking. Tends to slouch or lean back/forward in chairs. He tends to strike offensive, intimidating poses when the need strikes him.
Verbal: Accelerator speaks in a low, neutral-toned voice with occasional stress on words or intonations. (Link is mildly NSFW.) At times he takes on a condescending, sarcastic, bored, or even smug tone. His voice has its dynamics, though, such as when he's riled up or excited. He's even prone to maniacal cackling, ridiculous yelling and sound effect vocalizations of vector calculations. His voice tends to go higher when something going on is of interest or entertainment to him. It may sound sadistic, amused, mocking, or downright dramatic. He is neither entirely polite nor entirely slangy, mostly casual with some swearing and some good grammar when he feels like it. You will know when he's taunting you. Prone to scoffs and tongue clucking when you do not impress him.
Personal Space: Accelerator likes his personal space, and when Redirection is active, forcibly sees fit that you do not invade it. He hates being touched, and really only lets Last Order do so sometimes. Likewise, he generally does not touch other people unless he's intentionally being threatening, using his powers, or he otherwise sees a direct need for it. Occasionally he might just poke someone in the shoulder or grab said shoulder.
Expressions: Accelerator often has a blank, neutral expression that can quickly change to a glare or a smirk. He has his fair share of crazy faces, as well as pissed ones. In short, very expressive.
Current Residence(s):
Accelerator lives in Boys' 1 with Last Order, Hyobu Kyousuke and I don't remember who else, if anyone. no one else right now.
Typical Daily Routine:
Accelerator frequently sleeps in past noon. He keeps an eye on Last Order if she's around, and on days when she has to stay in the hospital Occasionally he will drop by the hospital to get the battery for his choker and electrode charged up. Thanks to Faust's variation on it and a canon update, its battery consumption lets him go about 24 days if he uses it conservatively, or three hours flat on ESPer Mode. However, he makes certain to get it charged at least once every week or two, in case he has used his powers a lot. ESPer Mode eats up 192 seconds of battery power for every second on Normal Mode.
Accelerator eats at the mess hall whenever he feels like it, without any set breakfast-lunch-dinner schedule. He can go through a pot of coffee at a time, and often will. Other buildings he frequents are the hospital and library. Lately he has been brushing up on his knowledge of vectors as they relate to calculus and physics, devouring book after book on either subject.
Accelerator can often be found outside after dark. Though UV rays have no effect on his skin, he much prefers nighttime over daytime because it is easier on his eyes.
Favorite Haunts:
The library, the outdoors in general, and previously the forests. Camp's new location doesn't have much of those, just a lot of corn fields.
Does he make his own bed?:
Sometimes. He often sleeps on top of the covers and sheets if it's too warm out, and back when Last Order was still in Camp, sometimes he had to yell at Last Order for trying to climb into his bed. She's clingy, okay?
