The day Junsu met his other half was the day Yoochun got his heart broken. The older man wept miserably with a bundle of daisies crushed tight in his arms. Unable to bear seeing the simple gift that had been rejected by his first love, he threw the parcel into the nearest trash can. Junsu, who had been passing by, grabbed the sad flowers and asked Yoochun, "Can I have these?"
Day 2: Hospital
Changmin left the hospital behind him in a grim mood as his teenage sister pulled his arm irritably. "I can't believe I'm pregnant!" she exclaimed. "Gawd, how do I explain this to mom?!" Furious with his sister's irresponsibility, Changmin gave her the silent treatment. He could only ignore her in hopes of containing his bubbling wrath. He glanced around for a temporary distraction and spotted one of the patients from the hospital a few feet away, daisies in hands while consoling a sobbing man. There was the slightest feeling of sympathy before his anger rekindled again from his sister's nonstop yapping.
Day 3: Confession
Yoochun watched the nervous wreck in front of him before gently declining his best friend's confession with: "I'm sorry, Junsu."
Day 4: Drunken Kiss
"GaHee," whispered Yoochun when he bit into Junsu's protruding bottom lip, his beer-scented breath flowing into Junsu's senses. The two men fell into each other's embrace for the second time since they'd met, but it was Junsu's name he cried that night when his pleasure peaked to its highest level.
Day 5: Regret
"I'm sorry, Yoochun."
"Yeah, I'm sorry, too."
"...What happens now?"
"Let's not think about it. Just like last time."
"You know I can't do that."
"This won't happen any more. I swear."
"You... Fine."
"Su..."
"Don't touch me. I-I... need some time alone."
"I... fuck... Okay, I'll call you later, then."
Day 6: Over
Dried, pressed daisies clashed with shattered glass before Yoochun was stomping off in a huff. Curses repeated over and over in Junsu's mind while he stared at the broken frame that once held his confession - the one Yoochun had turned away. He suddenly felt foolish for trying to pick up the memories as his shaking palms held crimson-stained petals.
Day 7: Gone
Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale.
Patter, patter goes the running footsteps echoing through the hospital corridor.
"Please don't leave me now, Junsu; I need you."
Wrong hospitals, wrong rooms, wrong patients - frustration.
Then, he sees him, and so much hurt hits Yoochun in an instant that his knees give way, the daisies he'd been planning on surprising Junsu with falling onto the cold floor.
Junsu seems to be smiling at him, even in his permanent sleep; and sorrow spills from Yoochun's eyes because the only world he knows and lives for is gone.
Because my writing is terrible, here's my best explanation of what had taken place:
A/N: So the story goes like this:
1.) Yoochun's clearly upset; Gahee had just broken up with him. He tries throwing the bouquet he wanted to give to her inside a trash can outside a hospital; however, Junsu comes along and takes it from him.
2.) Changmin walks out of the same hospital with his sister. He'd been dragged along with her for a pregnancy check-up that their parents don't know about. Changmin's angry his sister would be stupid enough to let herself get pregnant at her age. He looks around to keep from yelling at her and sees Junsu. He mistakes Yoochun crying over Junsu since he'd seen the younger man as a patient while wandering in the hospital.
3.) Later, Junsu confesses his feelings for Yoochun with a frame holding pressed daises (mentioned in Day 6); the daisies were actually the ones Yoochun got rid of in Day 1. Naturally, Yoochun still isn't over Gahee, so he apologizes to Junsu. Please note Junsu's method of confessing isn't apparent until Day 6.
4.) It's later that Yoochun unconsciously falls in love with Junsu; he doesn't realize it yet. We discover this from Day 4 when an inebriated Yoochun cries out Junsu's name during sex. It's implied Yoochun and Junsu had had sex (and kissed) before. Gahee's name was called out the first time; this time, it's Junsu's.
5-6.) When Yoochun wakes up, he doesn't remember what happened the night before and wishes to forget the whole drunken affair with Junsu. Of course, Junsu does not want to forget. There's an awkward argument in Day 5. Despite the uncomfortable situation, they stay together as friends. Eventually, they do get into a heated fight leading to Day 6, in which Yoochun walks out on Junsu. He picks up the frame with the daisies that Junsu had used to confess to him (occurring Day 3) and breaks it in a fit of fury. Junsu doesn't chase after Yoochun, but instead, attempts to pick up the pieces of shattered glass and daisies. The glass cuts his palms, and his blood seeps into the petals, staining them.
7.) Junsu's health condition deteriorates, and he's taken to the hospital. It's assumed Yoochun finds out about Junsu's relapse. From this shock, he also recognizes his feelings for Junsu. He buys a bouquet of daisies to bring to Junsu. By the time he arrives, however, he's too late; Junsu has passed away. The loss is so acute, Yoochun feels as though he's lost his world.
