Note: First time posting a B.A.P fic here :DD
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when Himchan with his loud annoying voice told Yongguk that the food he had bought wasn’t what he was in the mood for.
Himchan had been a prissy bitch for days now, but Himchan was usually a prissy bitch and usually Yongguk didn’t have a problem with dealing with Himchan.
But his mood was affecting all of them and as the leader, Yongguk had to see that something was done about it.
The first thing he did was throw a glass of water into Himchan’s face “If I hear you complain one more time I swear I don’t know what I’m gonna do! Just shut up!”
Himchan looked like a fish out of water, closing and opening his mouth over and over again. He wanted to say a lot of things, Yongguk could tell but the older held his gaze and finally Himchan gave a small nod and looked away. Since he didn’t move, Yongguk decided that this might as well be the time he lectured him. The other four where in the dorms too but Yongguk didn’t know where and if they heard him, they heard him.
“You have been amazingly bitchy this last few days Himchan” Yongguk started “You’re mean to the dongsaengs and rude to the staff. You are allowed to have a bad day but this has gone too far, get it together. It’s not just you on the line here, it’s all of us.”
Himchan didn’t move a muscle, Yongguk wasn’t even sure he blinked.
This was clearly a sign something was up.
Himchan was not the person who kept quiet if he didn’t need to. Yongguk sighed and put the empty glass he was still holding on the counter. He stepped over to Himchan and grabbed his chin, tilting his head up, forcing Himchan to look at him. His face was still wet from the water but Yongguk was sure there were tears mixed in there also.
“You wanna talk about it?”
Himchan shook his head but brought his hands up and tugged on Yongguk’s t-shirt. Yongguk had known Himchan long enough to know what that little gesture meant. He wrapped his arms around the younger, Himchan’s arms going around his waist and holding him tightly.
Himchan’s whole body was shaking.
Yongguk frowned and held him tighter. Himchan was a delicate being, sure, but it took a lot for him to break down and cry. In all the while he had known Himchan he had only seen the other do it a few times.
He felt the shirt stick against his skin, wet with tears. When he tried to pull away, Himchan hardened his hold and Yongguk decided that if Himchan wanted to stand here and cry in his embrace, Himchan could do that. After a few minutes, Himchan’s hold loosened and he took a step back. His eyes were swollen, his face red and snot was running out of his nose. Yongguk reached for some napkins that where laying on the counter and wiped Himchan’s nose.
The younger gave a dry short laugh “I’m not a baby”
“I know” Yongguk almost whispered “But that doesn’t mean you don’t need to be taken care of sometimes” he put the tissue on the counter and swiped the still lingering drops of water from Himchan’s face. “There, now you’re all pretty again”
“Thank’s hyung” Himchan smiled a little at him.
“Don’t mention it”
“I was really a bitch, huh?”
“Yes, really.”
Himchan sighed “I better go apologize to the others, or they will never call me Umma again.”
Yongguk smiled a gummy smile and pulled Himchan into a quick hard hug.
“If you need to talk, you know where I am.”
Himchan nodded and left the kitchen.
Yongguk looked after him before throwing the tissue away and cleaning up the water from the floor.
The next day Himchan wasn’t exactly back to himself, but he was better. He had apologized to the dongsaengs the night before and now he was working his way through the whole staff, bowing and saying sorry and told them that he hope they didn’t hate him.
Yongguk was happy he was doing better but even if loud, maddening Himchan could be irritating, that was still the real Himchan and after a day of quiet and pleasing Himchan, Yongguk didn’t feel less worried. Even the other’s noticed.
“Hey, hyung, what’s the matter with Himchan-hyung?” Youngjae asked while they were waiting to go on stage to record for the music show. Yongguk shrugged “I’ll talk to him when we get home later” he assured the younger.
The mood was in no way better when they got to the dorm than it had been the day before. Yongguk pulled Daehyun aside “Do you mind staying in the other room for the night? I need to talk to Himchan and I think it would be best if we were alone.”
Daehyun nodded “Sure hyung, no problem”
Himchan was third into the shower and then he went straight to bed, Yongguk waiting until last to shower but Himchan wasn’t breathing heavily or snoring when he entered the room so Yongguk knew he was awake.
He pulled on underwear and a t-shirt Himchan had gotten him years ago and did something he had never done before. After turning out the lights he crawled down next to Himchan in his bed.
The younger obviously stiffened but then Yongguk spooned him, one arm around his waist, the other under the pillow and Himchan’s head. “You need to talk to me.” Yongguk whispered “I rather have bitchy loud Himchan back than the person you where today. I don’t know that person. I want my Himchannie back.”
“It’s just a lot of pressure hyung, it’s getting to me.”
“And?”
“And what?”
“You forget that I know you, there’s more you are not telling me.”
There was a long silence “I have a secret and I’m not sure how to tell you because you’ll freak out.”
“I’m though, try me.”
Himchan sighed and turned in Yongguk’s arms. He pushed his arm under Yongguk’s body and hugged him hard “You are the one of the best friends I have ever had, you are amazing and I appreciate everything you have ever done for me, even if I never tell you.”
Yongguk felt really really uneasy, like something big and dark was growing in his chest.
“Channie you’re scaring me. Are you sick?”
“No, no it’s not like that.”
“Then what is it, tell me”
“I think…” Himchan paused, as if he was looking for words “I pretty much, really sure I’m gay.”
Yongguk felt Himchan’s whole body tensing and pulling away. It took him a few moments to process what the other had just said. Himchan was gay, he liked boys instead of girls.
“I have a fish.”
“What?!”
“Oh, I thought we were talking about things that didn’t matter?”
“What?!”
Yongguk reached for Himchan and pulled him back to his chest.
“I don’t care, silly, that’s what I mean.”
“But what, why?”
“What do you mean why?”
“I mean why aren’t you freaking out and being disgusted. Aren’t you worried I’m attracted to you?”
“Are you?”
Himchan huffed “That’s not the point!”
“Then what is the point?”
Himchan sat up in bed and lit the bedside table so he could look at Yongguk. “Why are you so calm about this?”
Yongguk frowned at him “Why do you want me to freak out?”
“It’s seems like the normal thing to do!”
“Himchan calm down. If you’re gay, you’re gay and you can like who you want. Just don’t grope the dongsaengs too much, they may not be so found of it.” Yongguk smiled.
Himchan hit Yongguk's chest lightly before turning of the lamp and settling into bed again. He pressed his back against Yongguk’s chest and the older held him again.
“You’re the best Gukkie, you know that right?”
“I know. But seriously now, are you attracted to me?”
“Go to sleep pabo.”
