The dingy, disgusting, dark gray sponge I finished with and threw away was new and yellow just 1/2 hour ago.

"Fantastik" is not a misnomer for that particular cleaning product.

So yesterday, I'm hanging out with random221b and Moonchild (who had a smudge of chocolate on her face), and she suddenly starts saying "Rarr!  Rarr!"  I asked her why she was rarr-ing, and she replied "I'm trying to scare the chocolate off my face."  Quite the LMAO moment....

I was awakened this morning by my daughter's plaintive cries.  When I went in to see what was the matter, she said someone took her spoon away.  She was very upset about it.

OK, wylddelirium and prehensile_wit, I understand that your levels are generally low these days...but taking a spoon from a 3-year-old?  Lucy, you got some 'splaining to do....

We were watching "Scrubs" last night, the one where Nurse Wanda keeps saying that everything happens for a reason...and it got me thinking about the inauguration and the last 8 years.

Another check off the bucket list....

Yesterday I ran the Walt Disney World Marathon.  And I finished it.  I have a Mickey medal to prove it. :-)

26.2 miles is a damn long way.  My legs are reminding me today.  The massage and hot tub helped a lot, though.

Today was 8 miles...on the short end of my long runs, but I'm tapering now.  Last weekend, I ran 12 miles down by my mom's...with my brother, who built up his mileage just so he could run that distance with me.  I'm so proud of him, and glad I could inspire him!  He's biking a lot now, too...I'm trying to get him into triathlons (not my speed--I am ( Read more... )

Looks like the_smith_e and I can renew our contract and get a discount on new phones.

What do you recommend?  I think he might like one with good texting capabilities, since he has limited internet at work.  I want something stylish that has a good hands-free function (although someday I'll take the time to get my OnStar and Verizon accounts linked so I can do ( Read more... )
