back when i did hair extensions i used my user name - for the whole pony tail link.
That said - most people missed the reference completely.
I found that because a huge percentage of your clients, if you get busy, will probably be people wanting basic extensions aka. the chapel st blondes, they respond better to names that include fashion, luxury and beauty links/associations. Because they see it a product that exists in that field rather than in the alternative sphere.
That and using hair extensions in the name will be of great aid if you are building a website.
You could definitely incorporate velvet darkness if that is still a name that resonates with you. Something like velvet locks hair extensions.

Let me know when you are up and running - would definitely be interested as I haven't had extensions in for a couple of years. (they would be your inoffensive long blonde and boring sadly :P)

"Velvet Darkness" could work.
There is a hair salon in Toronto (Canada) called "The Grateful Head".
I think there is already someone using "Blonde Ambition".
How about "Suicide Blonde" ? You'd have your own instant theme song.
Perhaps similar to the first suggestion "The Mane Attraction".
You could hint at your other work with "Miss Tresses".
You could do a business name search online for the words "hair" and "extensions" and think about variations like "Hair Today (gone tomorrow)" or "Home Extensions".
Need a logo ?

Well darling, Mane Attraction is actually what i was going for, but there are already 2 businesses in melbourne with the same name :(

I really like Miss Tresses.. thats really cleaver :) I want something that is a play on words.. I wonder if that would be do close to a DS thing for your bread and butter blonde... however, they are so stupid they probably wouldn't make the connection. *laughs*

Hmm.. i'll run a search and see if there are any businesses with that name :) Thanks for the advice!!

I know exactly how i want my business cards etc.. but i can't draw! Perhaps we can have a talk about it :)

Caz xxx
