Moran going to be put off by Sherlock's scent on John. Sherlock's 'friend' thought John had been bonded. A touch of Sherlock as innoculent against other sentinels would be nice for as long as the scent holds. Moran doesn't seem very needy either. John is drawn to needy and there's no mention of Moran's glow drawing/feeling right to John like Sherlock's did. Perhaps Hope lied because his fuckup is why John was promised away.
