Oh, if only it were that easy... Sherlock's going to have to work for this, I'm afraid.

Beautifully written, tense chapter. I'm very cross, you're making me feel sorry for Moran, something I never expected! I still want Sherlock to get his arse in gear and make a quick appearance, though. Well done.

Sherlock's working on getting his arse in gear. It's a bit of a surprise for him. There really hasn't been much time for him to adjust to the whole idea of not only wanting a Guide, but actually going out and fighting for one. A bit of a change in philosophy for him.

I was so happy when I got the notification for this! Well worth the wait, don't worry!

I wonder if Sherlock will be fast enough, Moran seems to be going at freight train speed! I loved the little part about John's chubby waist, I kind of think it's adorable as well XD

By now I should be used to being left at a cliffhanger, but still: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

John's waist is absolutely loveable. I'm kind of prejudice towards his physique.

Ha, this is why I have a slew of warnings in a fic where no one has so much as removed their trousers.

Personally, I find this kind of hot, but then paternalism is my big non sexual, non-romantic kink. I can see how others find this highly disturbing. If it were real life I would, too.

I was hoping to make Moran an ambiguous character. Considering where he ends up in later life, it's a bit tragic. He didn't start off bad, but the seeds of bad were in him.

Oh yes. If Sherlock hadn't appeared, John might actually not have had much objection to Moran, other than the objection he'd have to any Sentinel taking away his career and freedom. But John's smitten and it's not by Moran.

They are partially compatible, just not as compatible. And yes, they both have a lot in common, and Moran at least senses it.
