Oh, God, I just love how Fanon has gone amok in that Fandom. It's just so perfectly id-tastic. Now mind you the show itself was pretty brow raising in a subtle wink wink nudge nudge way, but the way it ported to fanfic is just ... wow.

Omai, this show... I found season 1 and watched it straight through, after reading a Sherlock Holmes '09 sentinel crossover. For all its 90s silliness, I was pretty damned addicted. I will pretty much read any Sentinel crossover now. Yours, btw, is one of the best. I've been following pretty much since you started it, I think.

Honestly, I haven't seen any Sentinel episode but I've been reading your Chameleon fic and craving for more like some sort of fix. I agree with everything you just said! You make me so HAPPY!! The Sentinel was my first "fandom" in the I write/ship/code html/damp not dead/fucking love this fandom sort of way. I am so exited to see the resurgence of the Sentinel fandom and I'm loving the Sentinel fusion AUs that are creeping up all over the place.

It's really interesting that the fandom is still so active after all these years. I mean, it's been what? 15 years since the show aired?

At least, and the Fandom crack/kink has been around just as long. It felt like one of the first rabid fandoms there was... but that might just be my opinion.

I always get a kick out of fandom tropes, I still don't know what was exactly in the water when this show was on the air, but we were all drinking it up. The amount of BDSM and soul bonding that came out of thin air... it took on a life of it's own. It really did creep in to the headcanon of the entire fandom... that's why you see all kink in the G rated and the hetero pairings. What else would Jim do if he didn't pin Blair down and have his way with him?

And speaking fandom tropes the Supernatural Alpha/Omega trope is another favorite so imagine my pleasure at seeing you take up that mantle as well. Between Collared, Chameleon, and If You Can't Stand the Heat you are hitting all my kink buttons at once. You've made me a happy, happy woman.

I think Jim got nicer with Blair around season 2 and Blair was juuuuust letting up with the micromanaging around season 3, but season 1 was definitely the Odd Couple 2.0!

If the actors weren't on board then they are now. I heard at a convention 2ys ago to an audience of almost entirely ladies (one present related the story on her LJ page) Garett Maggart (who played Blair Sandburg) said point blank he had read a number of stories his brother had sent him....and wanted more bottom/Jim stories!
