Prompt: A crypt or a coffin.
Sophie sighed miserably as her date dragged her outside along with his friends. Although Tom was handsome, his conversation left more and more to be desired as he and his friends raided the stash of alcohol he had in his trunk in the parking lot. Because a classmate had died of alcohol poisoning earlier in the semester, the formal was supposed to be dry, but apparently Tom hadn't gotten that memo. She had resisted Uncle Gustav's suggestion she help him and the boys watch the castle for Alexander Lucard as he sought his crypt for St. George's Eve, now Sophie was sorry she hadn't accompanied them.
"Come on, Sophie," Tom inveigled, thrusting a bottle at her. "Have at least a little. Don't be such a prude."
"I don't like liquor," Sophie protested.
"Christ Sophie!" her date swore. "You're 19, grow up already."
Irritated, but wanting to escape as fast as possible, Sophie took the offered bottle and had a gulp. Wine was complex and wonderful, plum liquor distilled in the basement of the house Tom shared with his friends, was anything but wonderful. Trying not to make a face, she took another sip before giving the bottle back.
"Tom, I'm going to head back in. I'll see you in a little bit," Sophie lied.
Walking back into the reception hall, Sophie headed for the back entrance and ducked out into the garden. Climbing over the hedge in her black evening gown wouldn't be easy, but she didn't wish a scene and couldn't bear Tom's company any longer. Moving to a dark corner, Sophie lifted her skirt and started to make her way over the boxwood shrubbery. Just as she got one foot safely over to the other side, there was a ripping sound. Pulling her other leg over, Sophie surveyed the damage to her gown. The modest slit which had gone to her knees in the side of the gown, now went over up to the tops of her stockings.
At least it was fixable and no one would see her in the dark, Sophie thought. If she hurried home, she could maybe change and join Uncle Gustav and the boys. Perhaps some part of her night was salvageable. She didn't want to take the main route home, she was more apt to have her embarrassing situation illuminated by street lights. No, she could cut through the woods at the edge of the nearby cemetery and come out near the castle, then take the back alleys home and no one would be the wiser.
Making her way through the cemetery, Sophie replayed the events of the evening. Tom not only didn't live up to her fantasies, he didn't even come close. But then her fantasies would be hard for any mere mortal to live up to, since they'd been created by- she tried to cut off the unwelcome thought as she left the cemetery and delved into the woods. Unwelcome, the image of Alexander Lucard swam through her mind. Dangerous and evil, yes, but wickedly handsome and elegant, it was hard not to dream about him a little.
Trying to cast out thoughts of Alexander, Sophie walked determinedly through the woods and realized she'd wandered off the path as she was daydreaming. Dark except for bits of moonlight shining through the branches, Sophie looked vainly for the path from which she'd strayed.
"Well, maybe if I just keep walking I'll either hit another path or come out on the edge of the woods," she said uneasily, trying to reassure herself. Resuming her walk, the quiet of the woods was shattered by the sound of voices shouting in the distance. Unsure of whether to move towards or away from the voices, Sophie hesitated and strained to hear them. Closer to her, she heard the sound of flapping wings and she spun around to see.
Behind her, bats swirled and disappeared as the solid form of Alexander Lucard appeared. Turning back, Sophie saw him and gasped, "Mr. Lucard!"
"Sophie, you look-" Alexander trailed off as he took in the sight of her torn gown. She quickly covered her leg as best she could and he added wickedly, "Good enough to eat."
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be-"
Before she could finish her question, she heard the voices again in the distance, this time louder than before.
In the distance Gustav exclaimed, "Run boys! Run! We have him this time!"
A flurry of emotions rose up inside her. Destroying Alexander was what Uncle Gustav had worked for his entire life, but even though she knew he wanted it, not once had the possibility seemed tangible. Although Lucard had tried to kill them countless times, Sophie couldn't help the remembering the kindness he'd treated her with when she'd been a vampire. Not exactly kindness, she recalled and blushed. During her brief time at the castle, he'd kissed her and even exchanged blood with her one night, all the while whispering sweet promises of pleasures to come once she was more accustomed to her new life. Shooting an anxious glance at the blond vampire, Sophie tried to think of what to say.
"Forgive me my dear," Alexander apologized and bowed gallantly.
"For what?"
"This," he informed her as he caught her up in one arm and other hand clamped around her mouth.
Too stunned to react, Sophie didn't resist at first as Alexander carried her. When he paused at the side of a rock formation and pushed a hidden button that made the ground open up and reveal stairs, she began to struggle. Biting his hand hard, Sophie tried to get away as her captor carried her down the staircase and the heavy concealed doors that covered them began to close. Making one last effort, Sophie bit down as hard as she could.
As she felt a sense of triumph at having drawn blood, Alexander whispered in her ear, "Go right ahead my dear, each drop you accidentally consume makes you that much more mine."
Frantically, she tried to pull away from his hand, but inexorably, the warm copper fluid slid past her lips. Sophie wanted to be repulsed, she desperately needed for the sensation to come, but it didn't. Instead, the blood awoke buried sensations she'd not felt since her brief time as a vampire. Wanting to focus on anything but the torrent of emotions flooding through her, Sophie studied the chamber. The walls were covered in carvings and there was a large tomb in the center. which Alex pushed open with one hand. Inside a vampire lay sleeping and Lucard chuckled to himself and pulled the cover back in place. Forcing Sophie to the back wall, he pressed a hidden switch which opened a hidden door and made Sophie enter. They walked through what felt like an endless maze of corridors, before they came to another concealed chamber. More elaborate, Sophie knew instantly it was Alexander's.
He released his grip on her long enough to push a massive marble slab that was many inches thick on the top of a tomb. It would have taken eight mortal men to move it at least, certainly Uncle Gustav and the boys couldn't budge it. Sophie moved to the door and tried unsuccessfully to move it. Non-chalantly, Alexander shed his cape, followed by his tuxedo jacket and tie.
"Why did you bring me here?" Sophie demanded angrily.
"I couldn't risk you alerting Helsing to where my resting place is." he answered, watching her intently. Sophie's attempt to escape him, hadn't fazed him, it had been merely amusing. However, seeing her too enraged to remember the immodest state of her dress and seeing his blood smeared on her mouth was quite enticing. It would be hard to get any rest with Sophie with him. Still, she would remain whether she liked it or not.
"Let me go!"
"Sorry, Sophie, but I can't do that. You'll have to spend the day in my tomb with me."
"W-what? Why?!"
Crossing the room and grabbing her up, Alexander explained, "I cannot allow you to leave and alert Gustav. Nor can I risk you trying to make enough racket to gain his attention. After spotting me in the woods earlier, Helsing will spend the entire night and likely much of the day looking for me."
Trying to wrench free of him, Sophie's eyes went wide as he used his leg to leverage off her pumps and placed her inside the tomb. Released from his grasp, she tried to stand, but her stocking clad foot slipped on the padded silk lining which covered the interior of the tomb. Nervous and fearful, Sophie gulped as Alexander climbed into the tomb with her and pulled the marble over top of them. The blond vampire lying on top of her, she tried in vain to push him off of her.
"I'll suffocate," Sophie hissed.
"There are allowances in the design for air, just because I don't breath doesn't mean I don't like to have fresh air."
Smiling in the dark, Sophie said sweetly, "Then I can scream."
She opened her mouth to scream but was silenced as Alexander's hand moved over her mouth once more. It was still bleeding and unconsciously, her tongue pressed against his palm eagerly. The sudden sharp intake of air from the man who didn't need to breath brought Sophie crashing back to awareness.
Against his hand she muttered, "I won't scream."
"All right, my dear," he laughed and removed his hand from her mouth.
"So what are you going to do with me? Kill me now or are you going to wait for sunset?"
"I can think of far more interesting things to do with you than kill you," Alexander purred.
Feeling far less worried at his words than she should have been, Sophie forced herself to snap, "If you rape me, Gustav will kill you."
A low chuckle rumbled in the vampire's chest and he replied in a seductive tone, "Do you honestly think I would have to do that to have you, my darling Sophie? I've lived for nearly a thousand years. I could do things to your body that would make you beg for my touch."
His words made her shift uncomfortably underneath him. Sophie attempted to turn away from him, only to rip her skirt further. Reaching down to try and cover herself, her hand accidentally brushed against his manhood. Blushing furiously, she tried to twist away from him in the other direction. Instead of a successful escape, Sophie had ended up with her legs tangled with his, their bodies thoroughly enmeshed. Embarrassed and afraid of making the situation worse, she stopped moving.
Alexander's mouth brushed her cheek, just beside her mouth and whispered, "It's intoxicating to smell my blood upon your lips once more."
"Mr. Lucard," she protested weakly.
"I remember when you called me Alexander, my dear," he teased. Then continued in a sibilant voice, "I also recall the night we drank from one another and you called me Alex."
"Please," she pleaded inaudibly.
"Ah, you do remember my dear. So caught up, you couldn't say anything but please and Alex, over and over. I remember thinking how amazing one so young could have such passion inside her."
Trying to focus, Sophie retorted, "I was a child."
"A bit young perhaps, but not a child. And you certainly aren't now," Alexander remarked, his gaze sliding down to the swell of her breasts.
Sophie's eyes having adjusted some to the dim crypt, flushed further under the vampire's assessing gaze. Her body betraying her, her nipples pressed painfully against the bodice of her gown. Tension coiled deep within her and Sophie was keenly aware of every point of contact with Alexander's body. Between her legs, Sophie felt a longing unlike any she'd ever felt before. The nearness of the blond vampire would drive her mad, if she couldn't escape soon.
Above her, Alex moved to push a strand of hair away from Sophie's face. Although the gesture was innocent enough, the slight shift of his weight made his pelvis press lightly against hers. Gasping at the wealth of sensation the gentle pressure sat off, Sophie felt her panic rising. Any hope Sophie had cherished that her captor wouldn't realize her state of need, was vanquished as she caught the scent of her desire, which doubtlessly the blond vampire had detected earlier.
"Sophie," Alexander murmured, his voice becoming husky.
His lips descended, capturing Sophie in a kiss. Although their earlier explorations when she was a vampire had been powerful, nothing could have prepared her for the dizzying wave of need that washed over her. If she asked him to stop, Sophie suspected he would, but try as she might, the words would not come. Instead she found her hands pulling him closer rather than pushing him away. Between the juncture of her thighs, Sophie felt Alexander's arousal pressing against her and she arched against him, desperate for release. When his hands slid upwards and cupped her breasts, Sophie whimpered sharply, her body consumed with longing.
Pulling his mouth from hers, Alexander growled, "Sophie, if you want this to stop, I suggest you tell me now. My threshold for patience will not hold out much longer."
Unable to think and scarely able to breath, Sophie pleaded, "Alexander, please."
"Please what?" Alex demanded, unsure of Sophie's meaning, his self control slipping away.
"Oh God, don't stop, Alexander," she begged breathlessly.
Instantly, his face covered hers once more and his fingers found the fastener at the back of her neck for the top of her gown. Pulling the fabric downwards, Alex elicited anxious cries from Sophie as his hands explored the bared flesh. When his mouth slid along the side of her neck, Sophie tensed. Sensing the shift her, Alexander assured her gently, "I have no intentions of biting you right now."
Her fears allayed, Sophie welcomed the caress along her throat. Nervously, her fingers moved to the buttons of Alexander's shirt, then she stopped, uncertain if she was allowed to touch the aristocratic vampire.
"I- Am I allowed-" Sophie trailed off awkwardly.
"Yes," Alexander interjected hoarsely,
Clumsily, Sophie unbuttoned his shirt. Her heart was racing as his fingers moved under the vague remnants of her skirt and brushed against her panties. In the dark Alexander's eyes flashed briefly as his face shifted and his nails lengthened to slice through the damp scrap of silk which clung to her sex. As quickly as Alexander changed, he shifted back to avoid alarming Sophie. But far from distraught, the reminder of Alexander's nature, increased Sophie's excitement. Her heart raced as the vampire's finger tips skimmed over her moist heat. No man had ever caressed her that way and knowing Alexander was the first heightened the tension acutely.
Alexander's mouth moved over her breasts as his hand teased and tormented between her legs. His neck was angled, Sophie was unable to resist licking then lightly biting the vampire as she once had. Feeling proud as the normally reserved man, groaned from her bite, Sophie felt emboldened. Moving her hand to his pants, she unbuttoned his trousers, then sought out his zipper. Although she'd seen pictures of a naked man, Sophie had never touched one. Even when she was a vampire and had lain in Alexander's bed, they had remained dressed. Uncertainly, she reached inside his pants and found no underwear to obstruct her explorations. Taking his shaft in her hand, Sophie touched him softly.
Twisting his neck away from her, Alexander pressed his face to hers and gently pulling her hand away from his cock. As Alex kissed Sophie, he moved over her, covering her body with his. His arousal was pressed against her wet slit and Sophie ached to feel him inside her. Wrapping her legs around him, Sophie silently urged Alexander to take her. Once more, his eye shifted, their hypnotic power penetrating through the darkness. Before Sophie could wonder why he was trying to control her, she felt his shaft push into her sex. Crying out in surprise, Sophie was dimly aware, the vampire had enthralled her so she wouldn't register any of the discomfort associated with a woman's first time.
As they mated in the confines of the tomb, Sophie reveled in Alexander's embrace, but felt as if something were missing. Her mind flashed back to her time with him at the castle, they hadn't made love, but they'd drunken from each other. Biting was a terrible idea, she chided herself. Just the sensation of love making was exquisite, but Sophie craved all of Alexander, and that included his fangs. Would he stop from draining her completely? And did it really matter if he didn't? The combination of their coupling and having tasted his blood earlier had re-awoken parts of her that had lain dormant since she'd been made human again.
Noticing Sophie was slightly distant, Alexander slowed his movements and asked, "What's wrong?"
"N-nothing," she panted. Arching against him she urged him on. When his mouth found her throat once more, Sophie begged, "Taste me."
Confused, Alexander raised his head and stared at her, "You want me to-"
"I want all of you," Sophie admitted. "I know it's wrong, but please Alexander, bite me. Drink from-"
Her words trailed off in a groan as Alexander whispered her name almost reverently against her throat, then slipped his fangs into the sensitive flesh. Tremors of pleasure from the twin sensations of the vampire penetrating her, pushed Sophie over the edge. Blood filling his mouth and the warmth of Sophie's desire consumed Alexander and their mating intensified. At last he mingled his cry of pleasure with Sophie's and collapsed against her, tenderly licking the wound on her throat.
"I shouldn't have bitten you, my darling Sophie," Alexander uttered against her mouth, giving her a brief kiss.
"I wanted you to," Sophie answered contentedly.
Reluctantly the vampire confessed, "Drinking your blood after you tasted mine, is going to make you crave my bite. When you became human again, I felt your longing pulling at the edges of my subconscious each night." Caressing the tender mark on her throat with his finger, he added, "I fear this is going to only make it worse."
"I know," Sophie agreed. "But then just your touching me would have done that. Do you know how many nights I've thought of this- of us-"
"You wanted me to make love to you?" he inquired incredulously.
Embarrassed, but past caring, Sophie answered, "Yes, Alexander. Even before I was a vampire, I had fantasized. When you drank from me it took form and had a greater hold over me. I've tried to move on and be interested in boys my age. Some nights I cry because I know how ashamed of me Uncle Gustav would be if he knew what I thought, if he knew what I wanted."
Raising up on one elbow, Alexander allowed his face to shift so he could fully take in Sophie's face in the darkness. Watching her intently, he offered uncertainly, "I have businesses in other countries. Places well beyond Helsing's reach,"
"You mean we could leave. But why did you stay here all this time? I mean Uncle Gustav is always trying to stop you."
"It's an amusing distraction," Alex laughed. "If I'd ever wanted to remove him, it would have been quite easy to arrange. A couple years ago, I'd been on the verge of leaving here."
Intrigued Sophie inquired, "So what stopped you?"
"Mmm, the appearance on my doorstep of a certain wide eyed vampire who played the viola. If you hadn't been made human again, I would have taken you away. When you became human, I put off my plans," Alex explained. Caressing her face, almost shyly, he whispered, "I always hoped you would come back to me."
"Oh!" Sophie gasped as understanding dawned on her. "You have no idea how much I wanted to come back. I just hated hurting Uncle Gustav and the boys. And to be honest, I assumed you wouldn't want me. I mean, you're a powerful man and I was just a teenage girl. And Max thought you were involved with Margeaux Burton-"
"Margeaux," Alex hissed in annoyance. "Once she meant something to me Sophie, but she couldn't handle who I am. In the end I sent her to her death with the mortal husband she thought my superior. She never invited my bite as you did tonight. Nor did she ever look on my true face with anything but revulsion."
Reaching out, Sophie grasped his hand in hers. In the darkness she looked at Alexander's elongated nails. He didn't frighten her when his face shifted. She and the boys had always run from Alexander, but Sophie had run more from herself and her desires than what the blond vampire represented.
"I'll need some time-"
"It's fine, Sophie. Just forget about it.," he interrupted and tried to move away.
Pulling his face to hers, Sophie kissed him and murmured, "I meant time to tie up my old life. It's important to me that Uncle Gustav and the boys think I'm going somewhere that I'll be happy. There's no point in hurting them."
"You understand that you'll have to- change" Alex hesitated.
"I know, Alexander," Sophie nodded. "Perhaps when we leave and are in somewhere a bit more er romantic."
Kissing her, he apologized, "Forgive me my darling Sophie, I imagine that you never envisioned your first time in a crypt."
"I didn't mind. In fact, I wouldn't mind having my second time in a crypt," she half teased, wrapping her legs around him and rubbing her sex against his growing arousal.
"I think that can be arranged, my dear," Alex replied, his mouth moving provocatively over her flesh.
Details of their new life could be worked out later, Sophie decided and abandoned rational thought as they began to mate once more...
