Damn, I envy you! Sci Fi is doling out the Fireflies one per week. ::sob:: I love Firefly. Then again, I have Sentinel on DVD, so that makes up for it. I should go watch that... nah, I'll wait until I'm sober. My mother really needs to stop making mixed drinks.

And I'm so sorry about the scanner. Maybe when you get a new one you'll be happier with the quality of the scans. I know you've been cranky lately that the pretty pictures have all come out so dark. Hmmm. Scanner, pictures; pictures, Sentinel... any chance your muse might take an interest in Blair?

Your mom got you drunk? Hee!

Yep, chances are a new scanner is in our not-distant future, and it's an excellent bet that it will be way cheaper AND way better than this one. My monitor, too, is wayyyyy past expected end-of-life, and that also affects the darkness of some images online. Bleagh.

Firefly has been great, simply wonderful. I watched 11. Bagging on the last four (the husband has simply Had Enough, great though it is) and thus have something to look forward to.

Speaking of which, by this time tomorrow I will be 11 minutes away from my first-ever viewing of The Sentinel! *squeeeee!*

Ick! I understand about electronics dying. And it always seems that when something does die, the stuff we buy to replace it, is always so much cheaper. At least that's the thin silver lining. When my truck just about fell apart, I broke down and bought a car. I didn't want to, and I'm still paying the dang thing off, but it was worth it. At least now parts don't fall off when I come to a stop light.

But I wish I could have seen your hubby bring it back to life. *lol* Were there sparks, of life? *lol* I crack myself up.

"the thin silver lining"- I like that! And too true, isn't it.

Sparks of life! Hee! Not so dramatic, alas. Still pretty impressive though.

I'm thisclose to finishing all of Buffy- just the last three eps of season 7, and I've been holding off for... well, for weeks come to think of it. Because then it's overrrrrrr, wah! Etc.

Firefly is INDEED verily Teh Hawt. I loved it... may yet have to buy the boxed set. Since the day began, I watched all but four episodes. *staggers*

I'd say 98% blessing, and 2% bane on most days. *g*
