[Completely oblivious to the Velvet Room's door, of course.]

Umm... I'm sorry but, just what are you talking about?

I speak of the would be world that lies in wait within the nuclear silos of many nations.

Nuclear... Silos...? I... Really don't think that would be a good world to live in...

Well then won't you be glad to know that today is the world of tomorrow! I am rather certain that there are nuclear silos in this world, still~

I think it would be horrible to wake up with everyone you know gone.. I mean.. what would you be without friends?

The world is impermanent, forever moving and changing, like the flow of a river. All things which have a beginning by definition must have an end. I have accepted this to a truth of the world.

But wouldn't it be better to have an idea of when it could happen, rather than to go obliviously through time, not knowing what's happening to friends.. family.. It would be better in my opinion to stick with them until the end! rather than sit by and just watch it happen...

Your sentiment is noble. I recognize your stance and the fact that I cannot uproot it, nor do I have the intention or desire to do so. What I mean to say is that should the day come that I experience Van Winkle's fate, I will acept it as I accept all things.

Giant corn people!? Are they a match for a mighty warrior?

Depends, they aren't very strong on their own.. but in numbers.. they can be hell!

Interesting. So they possess a supernatural ability to become brimstone when they gather? Does not not burn the corn?
