You missed quite a lot, indeed!
However, it's not winter. The weather is just acting up. If you are cold, I'm handing out blankets until the issue resolves itself - it's just an event, after all, it can't last for that long.

Don't know about that, but you might be correct indeed!
Flash freezes sound scary. I wonder if they are more or less scary than lightning freezes.
