I've gone and rejoined Netflix. We tried Netflix right after we bought our house, but found it was taking, like, a month for each film to get to us, so that our $20 or so per month was allowing us to see only two or three films. The presumption at the time was that postal employees were borrowing films on our dime and returning them whenever they ( Read more... )

I left Netflix too. Well, Katrina came between us, but even after I got a new place to live I didn't re-up. Which is a shame, because it's a great service, but I just wasn't keeping up with the movies. Worse, I would GROAN when I saw that red envelope in my mailbox. Funny! Yeah, there's rarely anything at the mainstream stores. But then again, Mark has his beloved Blcokbuster card for 1 movie out at any time. He often gets off work at 4 and by the time I make it home after work (6pm) and gym, it's nearly 8pm so he sould see a couple (and sometimes does). He sees all the crap I don't want to see. He just loves movies and will see anything.

I just don't have time for videos at home. I know I spend too much time on LJ/email and end up doing chores. It's hard for me to focus on 1 movie for 2 hrs in the house.

It's great because Paul has a portable DVD player for the train, so he can watch all the stuff I don't care about while commuting.

I have a really hard time making time for videos, too. I'm really trying to work against my workaholic tendencies and let myself watch a damn film now and then.
