I've seen some person-on-the-street reaction to the story about the female astronaut charged with attempted murder and I just can't get over the folks who are saying "It's so sad--she has kids!" What, it's not sad that she doubtless just flushed her career, her credibility and possibly the rest of her life?

I also liked how the judge tried to let her go free on (minimal) bail for the kidnapping and assault charges... I;m sure the poor kids were part of the logic there.

The weirdest thing is that she wore a diaper on her drive from Orlando to Houston, so she wouldn't have to stop for bathroom breaks on her way to see her beloved.
