I just returned from driving P to the train station. Even though driving around here is often a nightmare, due to an infrastructure built in the first half of the 20th century and way too many drivers, many with suspended licenses, early mornings are usually okay. Today was no different than usual, until I got this freak behind me who was laying ( Read more... )

Those are the same thoughts that go through my head when someone honks and weaves behind me. The funniest is when they do all that stuff, and we still meet up at the next stop light.

I know! People around here drive like bats out of hell and I still see them at the next light! Guess they enjoy wasting gas.

I must confess that I went around someone this morning (not unsafely or crankily) and they caught up to me at the next light. Hey, it's a long light... it was still worth it to not be behind that poky person! (Like, 25 in a 40 poky.)

That annoys me, too. I'm talking about people who go 60 in a 45 MPH zone and peel out from each light, only to get stopped a block later at a light.

Hard to believe anyone could be that stupid, but they are. After the incident this morning I was reading in our local paper that NY drivers scored 51st, out of all the states and DC, as being the worst drivers in the nation as far as ignorance of traffic laws goes.

Where is the train station...in the burbs?? No offense but I have a feeling that you are not driving in mega-stressful NYC traffic - I could be wrong! Ok, I do apologize, I just realized it *is* the crazed Wallstreet guy in back of you that is *certainly not living in the city*! It took my inebriated mind to go from giggling at you for bring sooo domestic to realizing that the Wallstreet asshole prolly lives next door to you!

Btw, I am gonna post tonight about my Trader Vics rum I bought!!!

Actually, the NY drivers coming in 51st was statewide, not just the city.

And the guy behind me was a wannabee gangbanger. Or maybe a real gangbanger. This happened in the part of town we call Gangland, since it's where the gang activity all happens.

Yeah, we have a lot of gang activity. They've all moved up from NYC.

I guess that's the trend. Who can afford to live in the city!
