P attempted to defrost some sausages in our microwave oven last night. I went into the kitchen for some reason and was really glad I had, because I was greeted by a fire in the microwave. It was small and entirely contained in the oven, but still, yikes! I imagine it was caused by the plastic that was still partially on the package. Damn

Yeah, it was real nasty for a few minutes. Cross breeze took care of it.

Ours has settings from 1-10. If you put it past about 3 you burn your toast to a crisp, which makes me wonder what 10 must be like!

Paul cleaned it himself--I wasn't going near it without a hazmat suit. We'll see how long it holds out...
