Art vs. Accuracy

I always wonder should a piece of art be shown even though it's not politically correct, but it's still a piece of history? There is a bit of stereotyping and racists in The King and I, but  it's a good piece of musical theater. It's been on broadway for years, but I read that there are historical inaccuracies about the King of Siam in the show and

I'm not quite sure exactly what was it, but I think it's about the cultural differences or something like that.
