John Locke's father, Anthony Cooper, is "stuck" (in a coma in the flash-sideways) in the same way FLocke is "stuck" on the island. I want to know the real significance of Charles Widmore, Christian Shepard and Anthony Cooper. Who was the "man in black"/"Jacob's Nemesis" before getting trapped? Are we going to see Walt again?
I am still appreciating the little nods to Star Wars. Jack and Claire really are Luke and Leia and Christian Shepard may well be Darth Vader. What was he like at the Anakin stage and who would be his C3PO? Human cyborg relations and witness to all six episodes of the series? I love that there were six Star Wars films and there are 6 seasons of L O S T. Sawyer is the Han Solo type aside from my not wanting to sex him due to his redneck tendencies. May Fourth Be With You!
I was grinning enthusiastically when Kate was shot but of course she lives while Sayid blows himself up (and Lapidus dies?!) for the greater good. I think Sayid went out in the best way possible. It mirrored Charlie's self-sacrifice/martyrdom. I love Sayid but he had obviously turned. I think it is tragic that The Kwans orphaned their daughter but it was poignant that they arrived to the island in the midst of separation and left the island and life reunited. This is the first time I have cried audibly because of television. L O S T does tend to get me misty-eyed but this was heart-palpitating and heart-wrenching.
I can't wait to see what Team Richard (and Ben and Miles) is up to.
