Dilator graduation, bittersweet. Currently much much more bitter.

"Surgery, to me, is like that car accident on the freeway when you're on your way to work. You don't know how far down the road it is, all you know is that it's preventing you from getting to where you need to be. Now that I've had my surgery all I have to put up with is the normal traffic that everyone else has to deal with."

Day 2 in Colorado, in Trinidad and not a whole lot to update on. The weather here is perfect. My mom is with me and it's pretty awesome; there were many tears shed in the terminal when we saw each other. We've gone down to Safeway a couple times to get some supplies for the stay. I'm in Trinidad now shacked up in a hotel room down the street from the hospital. There is a safeway nearby that I'll hit up today for some essentials. My mom is here too, which is awesome. I didn't realize how much I missed her until I saw her in the terminal when we both broke down in tears.

Today is my last full day in Cali before my trip to Colorado and I'm woken up at 4:30am sneezing and sinusy. I've got a few things left that I have to do today, though most of the preparation is done, thankfully. I'm worried because I think I may have a sinus infection and hope that it won't effect my surgery on Friday ( Read more... )

Been on hormones for 6-7 years now and I take a pretty motivated attempt at my appearance, but people still read me as trans. I fucking hate this.
