WIP list: Fanfics (3/13/14)

So I thought it would be fun to post a list of all my current works-in-progress. This is my list of fanfics; I'll do a separate one for original fiction.



(Except for the last section, these are all things that have actually been started and have words in a file and stuff. Titles in quotes are working titles/file titles and probably not final. Shingeki no Kyojin is Attack on Titan.)

Actively being worked on

Blue Exorcist

• The Priest's Son and the Demon - Series of fics with 3-4 left to go before it's finished. I've already posted the first half to AO3, so I definitely feel committed to finishing this.

Shingeki no Kyojin

• Inappropriate - Three(?)-part Levi x Eren fic. Part of an extensive AU that may or may not all get written, but this bit would stand on its own.

Might actually finish someday

Avatar: TLA

• "Chanfic" - Chan son of Chan adjusts to life in the Fire Nation under Fire Emperor Zuko. I posted the first part here a while back, and I've written about half of the second, but there are a couple more parts I might write (if I can remember what exactly I was doing with this).
  
• Distance and the Tides - Sokka spikes the punch with cactus juice; hallucinations ensue. This is actually a bit more serious than I'm making it sound; it features Katara working out the last of her feelings for Aang and ends up in a Katara/Zuko/Mai threesome. I'm probably about 2/3 of the way through this.

CLAMP

• Somebody Special - Sequel to "Almost Nobody," continuing Yuka's story, and bringing in some new characters. I've only got about two scenes of this written; there's a lot more to go.
  
• Sun and Shadow - Tomoyo/Cerberus. I'm, say, 3/4 done? This has been in abeyance for a long, long time, but I still have a soft spot for it.
  
• Heaven and Earth - Touya/Yue. Maybe halfway done. On hold for as long as the previous one, and I remember less of what I was doing with it, but...so much pretty!

Weiss Kreuz

• Wild Swans - A retelling of the fairytale as a manga being drawn by Aya-chan, at the same time as she's trying to track down her brother and deal with moving forward in her own life. Wow, that's awfully complicated for what's actually going to be a pretty short fic. About half to 2/3 done.

Unlikely to finish (but you never know)

• Scars - Azula, recovering from her insanity. Has some neat stuff in it, but ties into my post-series AU (see the last section below), and I'm not sure how to resolve this part without bringing in all the rest of that business. Can't really say how far along I am since I don't know where the end would be, but about 3700 words have been written.

Gundam Wing

• Unicorn - Duo and Wufei encounter a unicorn while on a mission. (Not a fantasy unicorn, a genetically-modified-from-a-horse one.) Gods, I'm maybe halfway through with this? It's short, though.

Gundam Wing/Escaflowne

• Stolen Wings - Celena gets pulled into the world of the Gundam boys. Two problems with finishing this: I would need to rewatch at least part of Escaflowne in order to "get" Van's voice, because he turns up before too much longer; and this was originally half of a shared story--ghilledhu was writing the other half, centered on Noin and Allen, and I can't remember how we were going to bring the two plotlines together. But I really like some of the things I was doing with this. Three parts done, and I'm stalled in the last one. Or maybe second to last, depending on how long the battle sequence takes.

Shingeki no Kyojin

• Veteran of the Psychic Wars - Basically the world of SnK where instead of being giants the Titans are something like malevolent psychic storms, and the soldiers are psychics trained to fight them. Interesting because taking the fight out of the physical realm switches up the characters a bit--for example, Armin moves up into the top ten of his class. Levi is still stupidly badass, though. Also provides the opportunity for psychic bonding, and I am all about the psychic bonding. Would need massive world-building in order to work out the ramifications of the changes, though, and thus is probably too much work, and I only have the opening scene done so far, ha ha. If this series wasn't my current fannish brain-fire, this story would probably slip down into the next category of likelihood.

Weiss Kreuz

• Taloned and Thorned - Omi gets turned into a catboy. I probably wouldn't write this all the way out to the end of my projected storyline, but I could do part of it. Still kind of long, though, so probably more commitment than I can manage. This is tentatively projected to be about 14 chapters (yes, this is just the partial version!); I'm in the middle of chapter 4.
  
• "Tiger" - Crossover with Sex Pistols/Love Pistols; Ken manifests as a "returner to ancestry." (And WhyTF didn't anyone translate this as "throwback"? Geez, people.) I'd need to revisit SP/LP to refresh my memory on the world's rules. Most of the first scene is written.

Will probably never finish

• "sunrise training fic" - Zuko-centric, set in the post-season AU; can't remember what I was going to do with it. Only have like a scene and a half written.

CLAMP

• Triad - Subaru and Seishirou both get de-aged back to teenagers and get it on with Kamui; co-writing project with sakon76. I think two parts are done and one is in progress? This is in an old word-processing format, so I'd need to can-opener the files to see what's what.
  
• Subaru-kun's Adventures in New Jersey - In which Subaru goes to Morristown to get a seeing-eye dog for Seishirou, and Seishirou pursues him. Wackiness and crazy self-insert ensue. At this point probably only finishable if I strip it down to a bare minimum (and most likely cut myself out entirely).
  
• "Eye" - Seishirou loses his other eye, Subaru sacrifices his remaining eye so Seishirou isn't blind, Seishirou kidnaps helpless Subaru from the Dragons of Earth, and...stuff. I don't even. Old file format again.

Weiss Kreuz

• Communion - Omi gains telepathic powers and essentially turns the rest of Weiss into his harem. Oh, and they get psychic powers too, or something. Some cool telepathy stuff in the beginning, I think, but ultimately a hot mess. I'm somewhere in chapter 3 of umpty-zillion.
  
• Elemental - In an alternate universe, the members of Weiss have powers relating to the elements; Schwarz uses a summoning ritual to bring the other Weiss into their world in order to help fight a demonic incursion. Weiss meets Weiss, Alternate Weiss are cooler than shit, and basically everybody has sex. Another hot mess, really. I'm in chapter 3 or 4 out of 7.
  
• Alternate Universe - Aya from the future gets sent back in time and has to decide whether or not to change the past. Also, he steals Youji from past-world's Aya before that Aya even realizes that there's anything to steal. Twenty-eight pages written; no idea how long this would end up being, since I've pretty much forgotten the plot details.
  
• Passion - Sequel to Sword Dance; I posted part of this here, I think? Just kinda lost the oomph for it, and unless rereading it someday jogs something for me I don't really remember where it was going (other than up to Omi's bedroom for more sex, hehe). About halfway done.

Headcanons and other unstarted stories that will probably not see the light of day

• An entire huge post-series epic focusing on Zuko being ridiculously amazing. The A:TLA stories I've actually written or started writing are set in this AU, but there are like a bajillion more, it would take me forever to write them all, and I'm losing bits of it as the fannish fire has dwindled and my attention has turned elsewhere.

CLAMP

• Evergreen, the sequel to "Sakura and Snow." OMG yes there is one. The odds of me actually writing it are approximately 0.000001%.

Gundam Wing

• "Gundam Wing Alpha," in which the boys develop psychic powers and all have sex with each other. Many problems with this--plausibility issues, too much angst (whut), power creep. Growing out of this was my "Black Angel" storyline, featuring EvilPsychic!Duo. Which is also not happening.

Of course, all the time I spent writing these lists I could have used to actually write story stuff. It was still a fun retrospective, though. ^_^
