Personality:
Touya is a young, independent boy with a big heart and an eye for adventure. Despite traveling on his own with only his Pokemon by his side, it isn't to say that he's the anti-social type by any means. He loves talking to people around the cities and towns of Unova, making friends and helping others out and all that jazz. His best friends are Cheren and Bel, whom he grew up with in Kanoko Town. It's apparent that friendship is very valuable to him, seeing as how the trio have stuck together for so long since childhood - they even decided to all become Pokemon trainers together. Although they don't necessarily travel together, they bump into each other oftentimes along the way of their adventures and partake in friendly battles with one another, as Cheren and Bel are considered to be the "rivals" of the game. He's very straight-forward, charging right into buildings and homes he's never been in for the sake of exploring, satisfying his curiosity, or just talking to the locals. Almost no one seems to mind much. He's also an over-achiever, whose goal is to become Unova's champion. He shares this goal with Cheren, but they are in no way rivals with bad blood, as they both prefer to approach the situation in a friendly manner. It could be said that taking this stance despite clashing with his best friend's goals makes him a little mature.
More importantly than becoming Champion, though, his greatest goal is to make the world a better place for humans and Pokemon to live together in peace, which contrasts with the goal of N's, Team Plasma's leader, who wishes to liberate Pokemon and humans. Development throughout the game was actually a little shocking for Touya, who had only ever experienced humans and Pokemon treating each other kindly. After his adventure, he came to learn that some people are just cruel and hurt Pokemon for nothing but their own selfish reasons. But it's a part of life just like everything else, and he understands that everyone must do the best they can to live happily with each other, including himself, even if there are bad people out there. That it's up to everyone to make the world the best one they can live in. It's because of this outlook on life that Zekrom chooses Touya as a hero, which is something that he intends to live up to the best he can. Even if it's just to help others with small, meaningless little tasks, Touya tries his hardest to be the best person he can be, be it to humans or Pokemon.
Speaking of Pokemon, Pokemon are one of the greatest influences in Touya's life. Fueled by his mother's stories about her own adventures in the world of Pokemon, Touya always dreamed of becoming a Pokemon trainer himself and going on his very own adventure. The day Touya received his very first Pokemon, Oshawott, from Professor Araragi, is a precious one that he'll never forget. From then on, Oshawott has been his greatest companion, and the one buddy he's kept by his side ever since the beginning of it all. Asides from his companionship with his starter Pokemon, Touya naturally excels at training Pokemon due to his love and understanding towards them. Even in the beginning of the game, it's often pointed out how well his Pokemon seem to love and trust him - in fact, it's what naturally attracts N to Touya in the first place, due to his ability to "hear" the happy voices of Touya's Pokemon. It even sparks N to question his ideas on the liberation of Pokemon, and causes him recognize Touya, who works together with Pokemon, as his opponent.
Being able to change the ideals of someone who's been raised in a certain way since childhood is also pretty impressive. Towards the end of the first storyline, N eventually comes to realize that Touya is correct in thinking that Pokemon and kind humans are happy to help each other out, and he even manages to become N's first human friend. That, combined with taking down Getis, the true mastermind of Team Plasma, counts toward a lot of accomplishments for a regular small town kid.
Extra:
Character Abilities: None, asides from being an awesome Pokemon trainer.
Possessions: His bag full of stuff - potions, antidotes, etc, as well as a badge case full of Unova's badges. There's also his Live Caster, which allows him to communicate with others (idk if this would even work at Splendor) and C-Gear with wireless capabilities.
Anything else: uhhh
