it happened again

There's this thing that happens to me every so often. I wake up in the middle of the night and some part of me feels absolutely enormous. Mostly it's my teeth, sometimes my hands. Sometimes I feel like I've got this beetle-shell exoskeleton over my entire body ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh! I didn't expect anyone to have anything similar! And you're right, it's a really alien feeling, so it's not exactly pleasant. I used to be really scared by it when I was younger - but maybe that was because it used to be accompanied by these really bad dreams about an entire world war. Like, EVERYBODY.

I've gotten used to it now because I'm so curious about it. While it's happening, I try to think about how to describe it, and it's still super weird, but not so horrible anymore. If you ever, even years from now, hear about a similar circumstance, I hope you'll tell me about it.

i have had my hands feel absolutely ginormous before. and one time, my teeth. once, it was my feet. all three times were upon waking from a deep sleep. i suspect it's a result of some rewiring being done in my neural network while i slumber. please forgive our progress, and all that. i try not to stress out about it. but with the hands thing, i did actually look at them to make sure they were, you know, *me*-sized.

Wow! Another! And so very like mine! Isn't it odd?

Then there's the arm falling asleep thing, which I really hate. First it's: "where's my arm? It's gone!!" Then: "Oh, it's just asleep. Ack!" Then: "What! Whose arm is this!?"
