darling dream

I'm in a neighborhood that's having a festival. Hub of the thing is in a large building with many stories, but it extends around to the entire neighborhood, where people have fixed up their gardens in the most charming way. It's spring. Tours of the gardens are made by all kinds of friendly people, an old film festival carries on, and there's a ( Read more... )

i came to write about how the low carb is really seeming to work with my heart and thank you. yum, laughing cow.but i read yr dream and i cannot believe it. listen, we truly are related. i shop at thrift stores, natch, we're poor, and besides that , they're fun. well, if i don't get to a thrift store often enough (even if i'm not buying anything, just looking),i have a dream, always the same. it's a dimlit store and dusty and the sun from around three thirty shines in the window by the cash register and it stirs the little dust motes ( ... )

WOW! I am so happy this is working for you! You keep on pluggin' away, honey, and I am going to lick my chops seeing you in that dress.

What a fabulous and rather nurturing recurring dream you have, there. Is it something of a general store? I'm seeing wood everywhere, especially wood floors, and hope I'm not adding my own ideas to the thing.

it's a honest-to-goodness thrift store. everything old and used.some good, some funky, some i just have to have; other stuff i wouldn't be caught dead in, just like a real thrift store. and did you get my book reference?

yeah, rough dusty wooden floors. i can't speak for the walls cuz they are so filled with STUFF. now i really have to go, or i'm gonna be late. i am so glad all those posts got thru. i am techno-moron extraordinaire!!

I did indeed get your book reference, and the first and second of that series will be the first books I check out from my brand spankin' new library, now that I've moved. The "nurturing" part was referring to the grand ladies. That is a marvelous marvelous thing.

So what records do you end up finding? The colors of vests are intriguing. Do they mean something to you?

It's kind of odd to think that we're eating the same thing, so far away. I find it interesting that some batches will be more wet than others. When they're more sticky, like that, I can never figure out how to get the wedge out without leaving the thinnest part in the corner of the foil.

My first experience with Laughing Cow was with the tiny little squared-centimeter cubes, at a party, when I was maybe 8. I was enchanted with their sizes and flavors - they'd come in a package of plain, tomato, and chopped green olive. And all of them were scrumptious. I wish they were still available. Although I recently discovered the cube shape (in plain only) at the grocery store a week ago, and am looking forward to the time when I need more!

i remember that trio only the green one wasgreen bell pepper which i am allergic to. when i was a kid my godparents would get these "fine" cheeses in a tube like tooth paste and they would be like laughing cow with caraway seed (my fav) or laughing cow with garlic, the box had like ten different flavors. i really miss the caraway...
