Do you include documentaries? If so, I recommend 'The Fog of War' (even if you don't review it, its fascinating, and is not a Michael Moore cinema).
Watch: Life is Beautiful I'd be interested in your thoughts on "Little Women" - probably doesn't fall in the film category, and it is a feel good movie, but I feel like there's lots of character development at least. Flyboys
Review (because I know you've seen it) The Prestige Shawshank Redemption Pans Labyrinth
And a question- are films, as opposed to movies, allowed to end "happily ever after" ?

Yes, to your question. Some of my favorite films end happily ever after. 2 key examples are "Amelie" and an Iranian film whose title translates to "Where is by Friend's House?" by Abbas Kiarostami sp? (I forget how to spell his last name). They both have the most beautiful endings. Just thinking about how happy life is at the end of Where is my Friend's House makes me tear up!
Also, I'm a little afraid to review Shawshank because after watching it again last Saturday a few things about it annoyed me, and I'm scared that if I write about it I will lose Patrick points.

I might not be here, since I'm going to go home to make dinnar. I might come back out later though. (sneaky smile)
I'm going to get lung cancer with all the second-hand smoke I'm consuming up in this peice. At least it smells like delicious happy.
