I'm sure most of you have heard of this game by now, it's making the rounds on all the geek blogs - I've been engrossed by this game for a couple days now. I'm still not very good, but who cares

I'm *almost* sad if I've created another addict. It's not so bad as drugs, or time-consuming really involved games, yada yada - just a fun diversion - glad you enjoyed.
Since I found this game, I've downloaded the song. It does bring back happy memories of the early 90s. Interesting how many good songs Erasure did that I never really put together -- like Neverending Story (who doesn't know that ditty, to this day?) and several big pop hits.
The game has another cute feature - every sound effect in it is from the song. There are blasting sounds and zipping sounds - all sampled from the song itself. The only one I can't find is a "dolphin" sound that plays every 5,000 points, but I keep listening to the song to see if maybe it's in there...
Damn you Melanie... I clicked on that link yesterday just out of curiosity. I've had that song stuck in my head since last night! I'm not very good at the game either but it's still a lot of fun :)
I remember it from the 90s (not sure why I put 80s, will have to fix that) but it was never a huge hit. We had a great alternative-rock station in Dallas back then, and even there it didn't get a ton of play.
Sorry it got stuck in your head - it took a few days for me to get it worked out of my system, but now I can play the game for 5-10 minutes and walk away without having Always in my head for hours :D

The song was released in 1994, according to Wikipedia but I don't remember it at all. Strange. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Always_(Erasure_song)
