All that wasted writing

With all the late-night LJing I do, I could have written fifteen novels by now.

I wouldn't consider it wasting...

I mean, those are your thoughts/feelings/opinions/etc that you've expressed, why should it feel like a waste?

I deeply treasure all that LJ has given me, but it saddens me that I lack the ability to write a lengthy, coherent masterpiece.

Oh, hey, check up on that homework thing I did.

It was a sort of funny comment I made, and should cause some sort of an uproar with at least a few overly-pc types.

I left a link to the post on my newest post.

Andy Rooney hasn't written a lengthy, coherent masterpiece either, but how many books has HE sold? Also consider someone like Bill Bryson.

You could probably polish a bunch of your lengthier essays, write a few more, and make a book out of them. You've certainly got a different perspective on Europe and the U.S. than I've ever seen in print.

I've had very similar thoughts. LJ is especially cool because it lets you export your journal into a variety of formats.

I'm trying to think of a way I can program my computer to develop some sort of common theme from all my musings... Then after it found the theme, it would write a few novels for me.

I'll let you know when I'm done with it.

Fo shizzle, dawg. If you ever become famous, be sure to let me know so I can brag about knowing you online.

You could make a reality show out of your LJ.
