MLK, Jr.

I have endless amounts of respect for Martin Luther King, Jr. How anybody could cleave to non-violence when the world is full of assholes is beyond me. Of course, I'm not inherently anti-violence myself, since I am of the mind that people should get what they deserve. This goes for everything from smacks to the head to smiles on the street. I should play with my new model Jeep CJ-5 in cherry red and chase the cat and have a happy, happy fun time while dreaming about a better and brighter future.

That sounds like a heck of a plan. Substitute "Harley" for "Jeep" and "dogs" for "cat" and it's pretty much my plan too.

It's funny how relative things are. After 3 years in Boston, the cashiers here don't just seem courteous, they seem downright charming. :) The ones who have the necessary language skills to do their jobs, anyway.

Eh, cashiers are just a convenient example. Far more significant things happen...but I am trying not to think about them.

It took me a long time to realize that strangers, like cashiers, were nicer to me when I was on vacation because I was more relaxed and friendly.

It's amazing what a shake up to your normal routine does, eh?

It took me two read-throughs to pick up on the word "model." For a moment there, I had a serious case of vehicle envy.

Not that I'm complaining about my '93 YJ. But still...a CJ-5...(drool).

If the real ones look like the model, I'm not surprised.

You should post a picture of the Jeep - even if it's just a model :D
