Spent the morning walking Alfie at The Muckenthaler, which was a nice outing and a heck of a lot more interesting than another spin around our neighborhood, which is a nice place, but pretty boring.  It's kind of a small arts complex, consisting of a grand old 1920s Spanish Revival house that houses a museum, a little arts center, some public rooms ( Read more... )

Santa Anita hosted a nice photography day event for all comers last week, and it was wonderful.  For $25, you got to take photos at morning workouts (OK, so you can do that for free, but wait, there's more!), a very yummy breakfast buffet, an interesting speakers panel, a backside tour, a tour of one of the trainers' barns in which several horses ( Read more... )
