I'd say to buy the ticket if you possibly can, just so you have the option of going if you want to. I'd suggest maybe getting two so you can have a friend present who can support you as much as possible (carry bags, bulldoze a path through crowds, call for help if necessary). Maybe you can get permission from the venue to bring a small folding stool, like what they sell for campers?
If you've got the tickets, and if you're feeling able to attend on the day itself, you have the option of going. And if you aren't feeling up to it, either your friend can go herself (alone or with another friend) or you can scalp your tickets.
Good thoughts and I contacted a couple of friends but one isn't keen and the other (who went to Adam's first show with me, plus Panic and MCR although they're not really her thing, bless her) is going to be in Paris. I was still going back and forth about it but I checked again today and they had a limited number of seats available! I grabbed a really good one for the same price as a floor ticket.
Still a chance I'll be in bad shape but that's always a risk. I feel a lot more confident having a seat.
