OOC: Italy and V's Shadow Post // Format blatantly stolen from Lylith (<3)
Please note that I've never played any of the Persona games, so if I'm doing it all wrong, feel free to tell me.

The description of the Sun card in Tarot includes: "The child of life holds a red flag, representing the blood of renewal while a smiling sun shines down on him, representing accomplishment." Italy's shadow is essentially a bastardized version of this idea: he is in the form of himself as a child, but injured and bleeding from war. Instead of being the image of innocence and splendor, he is the image of innocence lost and of war-torn destruction.
Personality: Italy's shadow represents all the personality aspects that he wishes he didn't have and has spent a while trying to repress. In the past, Italy has done terrible things as part of war or for the sake of what he thought was the greater cause or under an influential leader. Italy's shadow represents that darker part of him that is willing to do horrible things when he fools himself into believing his intentions are good.
His shadow also represents his underlying cynicism. Italy is outwardly an optimistic person, but he's been around long enough to know that things can go from good to bad very easily and that, given enough time, things can get much worse. Even if he tries to be an optimist, there is a skeptical part of him that waits for the next major war to break out or things to go sour.
Along those lines is Shadow!Italy's very intense paranoia. It's no secret that normal Italy is easily scared, especially of being attacked. His shadow form, however, doesn't have any of his kindness of trusting nature. The result is that Shadow!Italy is incredibly jittery and very willing to stab you. Be careful, for he is a dagger-happy little kid.

The Shadow's 'True Form'
Name: Tattered Angel
Description: When Italy's shadow transforms into it's true form, a pair of torn wings grow from his back, and his dagger and flag transform into a pair of swords. The bandages on his forehead/limbs also transform into armor covering his head, forearms, and calves.
Level: 65

Name: Cherubim
Description: A more wholesome version of his shadow form, his wings are normal and he doesn't carry his swords.

V's Shadow is essentially a black, inky silhouette of him, with a pair of yellow glowing eyes. (Yes, I am incredibly original.) It moves like V moves, however, running and jumping like he would, and it attacks by throwing a shadow form of his knives.
Personality: V's shadow represents his underlying sadism and rage. Consciously, V convinces himself that, despite his own personal reasons, his cause is more about the greater good than his own personal satisfaction. He misrepresents how much his mission is about revenge.
So, V's shadow is all of his darker, violent impulses. It isn't going to be eloquent or rational V; it will mostly just blindly and viciously attack whatever it sees. If it speaks at all, it's going to be in short, primitive phrases. Expect it to laugh a lot at any and all violence and chaos.

Name: Phantom
Description: V's true form is much more far-reaching than his usual inky silhouette; the tattered edges lengthen into black tendrils for snaring and choking anyone trying to attack him.

Description: Much closer to how he normally looks, though instead of knives he carries a sword. His clothes are also closer to an ornate robe than his usual apparel. Role/Category: Fighter
