Pansy looked as Ron had always imagined she would on her wedding day; breathtakingly beautiful. Her dress was perfect as was her hair and make-up. She was perfect. She was everything he'd ever imagined, ever hoped for, and more. There was only one, minute little problem.
She was about to marry the wrong man.
"Ronald, what are you doing here?" she asked sharply as he shut the door behind him. "You shouldn't be here."
"Neither should you," he retorted earnestly.
She turned away from him to gaze out the window. "I am at the right wedding, aren't I? This is Parkinson Manor, yes?"" she replied, but the words lacked their usual bite. In the translucent reflection of the glass, her eyes were soft, her expression pensive.
"Right place, wrong wedding," Ron said, crossing the room in three long strides. He reached out to place his hands on her bare shoulders and turned her to face him. "Take a chance, Pansy. Take a chance on me."
"Don't," she whispered, closing her eyes.
"I love you," he murmured, "more than Malfoy ever could, and-"
"Pansy?" Astoria poked her head in the room, gaze seeking out the bride. "It's time."
