R's Gramma K bought him Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and we've watched parts of it, but I have this big need to screen out the creepier bits. Man, that movie is scary for a little kid, especially with the scary German dictator subtheme and the grubby kids being locked in a dungeon. It had a big effect on me, at least, but not just for the scary bits

I have never seen the movie although I know the songs from the soundtrack. Same with Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls, lot's of them. My Mom had a thing for movie music but being the hippie that she was, she didn't groove on the the television.

I think the fact that the whole Vulgaria plot is a daydream sequence makes it all the scarier since you don't realize that's what it is until later.
