"truuuuuly scrumptious..though we may seem presumptious.."
I have never seen the movie although I know the songs from the soundtrack. Same with Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls, lot's of them. My Mom had a thing for movie music but being the hippie that she was, she didn't groove on the the television.

Oklahoma has a weird, creepy subplot too! I already posted about our Oklahomafest from recording it off of pbs last year. Hugh Jackman, slurrrrrrrrrrp. I mean, um, good wholesome entertainment!

Haven't seen Guys and Dolls. Should put that on Netflix...

Really? I still haven't watched the whole thing as an adult and must have blocked it from my earlier memory! Is it as overall Nazi-ish as I think it is?

I think the fact that the whole Vulgaria plot is a daydream sequence makes it all the scarier since you don't realize that's what it is until later.

That movie used to totally creep me out as kid. Still does. I hate it when the kids watch it. I had hoped that they never would, but then soem thing I have no control over. Especially when living with my inlaws and their gigundous movie collection for so long. So glad we've moved.
