If you think that's interesting, you should check out Thelema too.

LaVey borrowed (stole) most of his ideas from Alistair Crowley, then expounded on them to create Satanism.

I highly suggest Thelemic teaching. I'm not a Thelemite (because I'm not an anything) but I find their ideas and teachings fascinating. Don't start with Crowley's books, though. They're completely, crazily complicated. Read up on books written by other Thelemites. And read The Book of the Law, preferably a version with annotation or commentary. It seems like nonsense at first read, but after multiple readings I can see a really interesting picture. The first part (Nuit) is the macroverse, the second part (Hadit) is the microverse, and the last part (Ra Hoor-Khuit) is humanity and its potential. Reading it certainly gave me a different view of the Universe.

Do What Thou Wilt shall be the Whole of the Law. Love is the Law, Love under Will.

yeah, and the book I'm reading isn't all about LaVey. It starts with the beginnings of satanic worship and how it has evoled over time. It mentions Crowley and even L.Ron Hubbard.

Thanks again, I will check out those books for sure.

Liber AL reminds me of the Old Testament. (By the way... multiple readings? Aren't you supposed to only read it once and then not talk about it? I suppose that's okay since you're not a follower, but how could that work for someone who actually believed?)

Anyway, as I understand it a lot of what Crowley wrote in his books was intentionally misleading, so one must be careful when reading. I can't say how well others have understood what he said, so I can't comment on whether or not reading the interpretations of others is a good idea. *shrug*

Should it ever come to it - and this isn't planning, it's Emerald Logic, I don't think my family would be cool when they found out I was dating a satanist ;)

I told you the satanic bible was cool...... :P no one listens to the Rosie. Are you reading a book *on* satanism? Or the bible its self? Cause if all you have is a book on it you *HAVE* to read the bible its self, it goes really indepth *obviously* on satanism.... very interesting to read.

Because you're a goth. Satanism and Scientology are in a close tie with being the most retarded religion ever.

I think it has less to do with being a goth and more to do with having a bigger the average ego. So what religion are you that teachs such intolerence? Because I'll have to read up on that one.

Wow, you aren't very good at this. If the target doesn't respond to trolling, continuing as though they did only makes you look disconnected from reality. I suppose it's possible that one might incite the target in this way, but it's an unreliable technique.

That bit at the end was alright, though, if only because arrogance is almost always able to garner a response. But really, considering the situation I doubt that's going to work here either.

Satanism that involves the worship of Satan is fucking retarded.

Satanism in its true form of self-preserverance however IS intriguing.
