I am not sure where my time has been going of late. One place it absolutely hasn't been going is on me reading or updating LJ. As mentioned a few times, I use this place as my online memory and means of resolving future arguments about what we did at festivals, which means I have some catching up to do ( Read more... )

Sometimes it feels as if I’m the only person I know who’s still not seen Desperate Journalist. :)

Sounded like a fun time. I din;t know many of the bands you mention - shame on me - but Mutant Monster sounded up my street. If they are anything like the Boredoms - another Jap rock improv band -then I shall look out for them.

To be fair - most of those bands I only knew due to a period of intensive research once Camden Rocks' lineup had been announced!

Cheers for the write-up! Definitely sounds like I should check some of those bands out.

Indietracks in less than a week! I guess that'll be one more for the write-up to-do list.

And yeah, the new guitarist in Desperate Journalist is Charlie Stone, off of every band ever.

Except Desperate Journalist have just pulled out of Indietracks (or, at least, turned into Liines) :(

But otherwise, very much looking forward to it! Just been browsing the line-up today and getting quite excited about it :)

Yeah, that's a shame. I heard Liines are good too though.

Assume you're in the Travelodge? Every time I check the weather forecast it seems to be different.

Yeah, we are being metaphorically wet (rather than potentially physically wet) in the Travelodge. Ever since I saw it supposed to be 37 on Thursday I have been too scared to look at the forecast any more. My office is a lovely old thick-walled stone building which (a) has no aircon and (b) in hot weather basically functions as a storage heater.
