Hey. It's been a while. But it's Christmas, which is a time for traditions. So here we are.

Last year, there was a brief hiatus in the annual visitation to my family home. This year we're back for a Completely Normal Christmas. Definitely Normal. ChrisC and I have piled up the motorway[*], singing along to the Christmas compilation albums he made,

3AM brain is often ridiculous. Unfortunately, 3AM me is poorly-equipped to deal with it. Especially in this case, when there is a certain validity to its points.

Yes, we're all doing fine, thanks. We have Bea home from uni, we're all triple jabbed except Dawn (whose 3rd is next week because she booked first!) and Dawn actually has a decent chunk of time off, so a proper rest is being had for once.

My sister has moved back to Edinburgh, with her daughter, so my parents are through here to have the family Christmas two blocks away. I have mixed feelings about this.
