The fit has hit the shan ladies and gentlemen. It appears that Karl Rove and Alberto Gonzalez were exchanging emails and completely aware of the shake down of the now fired federal prosecutors. (The article c/o CNN) This is it. Let's watch this shit show.

well, for starters, the White House didn't inform the Judiciary Committee.. which is a big no no

Why? As the quote goes, "no one can have a party without inviting them"?

The Prosecutors serve at the discretion of the President. Period. I'll agree that informing the Judiciary Committee would be a nice gesture, but to not do so is FAR from a no-no.

Let's say Bush had them removed for political reasons. What, exactly, is Congress going to do about it? Seriously.....I'm really curious as to what could be done.....

OOooooooo no no no, it goes beyond being a "nice gesture."

It looks like the portion of the PATRIOT Act that was used by the White House to replace these prosecutors will be repealed (or has been repealed already.)

This provision was supposed to be in place to protect our nation, not reward political cronies.
