And, for those of you who claimed you were voting against same-sex marriage because it said it wasn't right in the bible...I doubt any of you actually follow the bible word for word. If so, you'd be stoning homosexuals to death.

Do YOU even know what you're talking about? Which book in the old testament are you referring to? Genesis? Leviticus? It's true, those words are in there, it's also true that it says you should burn a woman... (I forgot the reason but it was something in response to a woman thinking impure thoughts or something.)The old testament was the laid out plan of what the Jews were suppose to be in God's eyes, and how they were suppose to act. Jews _are_ God's, and _were_ God's chosen people. And yes, we might see some of that punnishment as cruel today, and this is a hard pill to swallow, but God made us, including the Jews. He can do whatever he wants with us. But, in a way, you could say that the old testimate has been fullfilled, through Jesus Christ and his death on the cross. I don't want to necessarily say the Old Testimate is invalid, since both Jesus and Paul said you should OBEY the old testament. (But the same punnishments spoken about in the old testament don't need to be carried out any longer, since there is no need for that ( ... )

Didn't you say that you weren't religious?

And of course we don't need jesus or god to say "its wrong", but the fact of the matter is that people do use jesus or god or religion in general to count homosexuality out.

News Flash: God the Father was never alive. And for this arguement, what does that have to do with anything?

I didn't mean God the person is dead. I meant people don't care about God anymore.

Actually you don't really make me want to die. And I didn't mean God as a person like you and me, I just meant like the entity as opposed to the belief. And I know a lot of people are insanely religious, because I know people like that, and they are the ones that make me want to die.

the only christians that drive me crazy are the ones who don't really know what they're talking about. which might be a few of the 'insanely religious' people you speak of, but that also applies to everyone too. people in general who dont know what they're talking about make me crazy.
