I need a new camera.
Something small(er) that doesn't need too many batteries.
And orange (or acid green).

I would vote for a fuji... usually they are great in low light condition... well, if you plan to take pictures indoor in fact.

I'm afraid of the cost though...
I can't seem to find an estimate for that model...
(but I didn't actually searched for it either, lazy bum!) :D

I've noticed that the Sony Cybershots are taking very good photos lately. I'd normally not prefer Sony for cameras, so it surprised me...
I'd probably get one myself if I really needed a handbag camera.
Besides, they're small and come in pretty colours! :-)

I would betray Fuji for Sony right away... uhm... and I also have an acquaintance that work at Sony Italy and perhaps I could even get a little discount...

I'll check the colours and prices ;)

LOL
You should make a club with Blythou, she choses her hi-tech toys with the same kind of criteria.

I have a Sanyo Xacti, an old model from 2 years ago I bought in Japan. I love it. It is officially a camcorder but does pretty decent shots, balances whites quite well in different modes, has good macro and a wide range of modes which work well, is easy to use, has some stabilizers for photo or video, and is handled like a gun out of Star Trek.

And some models exist in orange or acid green now :)

I know, right?
But I'm a low tech man in a high tech world and all i need is a camera that doesn't die on me whenever I need it, that makes stable pictures even if my hands are shaking, and that basically gets what I see and is nice and fast to take out point and shoot.
And if it does all that, then why can't it be orange? :D

I'll check the Sanyo, thanks for the review ;)
(I've checked the Sony already and it's almost double the price of the fuji and it doesn't come in orange nor green so... Buhbye Sony! :D)

I use mine as a point and shoot. Actually, the expression "point and shoot" must have been invented for it, the first days I was doing laser gun noises when taking pictures in Clint Eastwoodesque poses. My mother in law bought one after trying mine, I guess this is a good indication that it is easy to use.

Look for distorsion issues in the new models, the only problem I have found with mine (old model) is that sometimes, in landscape mode, I can see that the earth is round.

Nearly all my flickr consists in pictures taken with this cam, only using basic settings (I'm a lazy photographer).

I need a new camera too... but something bigger, and has a lens that I can adjust.
