Oh sweetie, don't stress too much about Robin! I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again: I'm in no hurry, so you can experiment as much as you want and take all the time you need with her.
I'm also excited to hear of Elphie, I hope you can get her done and OMG little flying monkey! :D

I think we all go through times when nothing we do turns out right. Or at least I know I do! You just have to push on regardless, you know you're talented, it's just not your day today.

P.S.: the CAPTCHA for this comment is "in sausage", which amuses me greatly. XD

Oh My... why do I keep on referring to her as Robyn with a y when it's Robin with an i?
I know you're in no hurry, but I really need to see the end of this, it's been way more than two years in the making, now. I wouldn't be happy with sending you a doll I know will loose color along the way, also.
As for the talented, well thanks for the vote of confidence, but that's not really it. I just can use an airbrush enough to paint something *evenly* :D
It's not a day, it's a lifetime ;)

Littlest flying monkey is in the work since a couple of years too. I've sculpted one bigass wing (that is now all wobbly after 2 years lying around) and his little hat and mohawk with clay, I bought that sculpting putty they sold on HLJ with the pinky on it just for this purpose, and never used it. I just want it to move a little so that he at least can change position, littles petshop are not exactly the most jointed of figures.

It's hard for me to imagine life without unfinished projects, or components for projects that have never been started ;) If you get there, let me know what it's like ok?

Have you asked PaulKaiju what he's done for paint flaking off hard doll parts? I think he's painted some BJD.

I feel your pain, I really do.
