1. I "joined" a while back. Why haven't you accepted me?
I explicitly state in the above graphic that you must comment to be accepted. If you haven't commented, you're gonna stay "pending" until I hear from you. If you haven't commented after about 3 weeks, you're going to get denied. I'm sorry but I can't have lurkers just taking up room on my "pending" list.
2. Why are you so paranoid about who can and cannot view your fics/art/etc?
I am mistrusting of people by default and quite frankly I don't have the time or patience for internet drama, trolls, and flamers. I'm not out to make money on anything posted here and I'm definitely not trying to win a popularity contest. If people are interested in getting past the ropes to read/look at my work, then great. If not, well, that's fine, too. I do what I do because I enjoy it and I'll be damned if some immature little fleck of "No One Special in This Huge Universe" is gonna take my enjoyment from me.
3. I have so-and-so on my F-list, but I really, really DO like your writing/photography/art. Can I still join this community?
Of course! I do not discriminate against people based on who is or isn't on their friends list. But if you do have certain usernames on your f-list, be aware that it DOES raise red flags for me and you're probably going to want to make contact with me and let me get a feel for ya before I accept you.
4. What would disqualify me from being able to join this community?
Being a known flamer. Associating closely with known flamers. If your journal displays any kind of hate messages (ie: racism, prejudice views, homophobia, etc.) Being a total illiterate dumb ass. Stalking me. Threatening me. Deceiving me.
