We were very underwhelmed with Bangkok too. Apart from the views from the river. Sadly ruined by backpacker culture over the decades and to be honest, having wandered down Khao-San (sp?) road, I can't blame any local there for not having much time for visitors. Which is a shame, because everywhere else in the country we went the people were super-friendly.

Hope Aus is good. Feel free to ask innocent questions about how the Ashes went... :-)
