Lulu Sphere [001]

Feb 10, 2009 21:06

[Her skirts make it difficult to move, but Lulu pulls herself from the wreckage. She looks around, and breathes in the air. One thing is obvious: this isn't Luca.]

Wreckage?

[She takes a few steps  back from the ship and considers what she sees.]

A  machina?

[Then she turns around, not quite bewildered, and looks at the terrain around her.]

Eos, I believe! It's not so bad. Unless you happen to have a fear of frogs, that is. Then I suppose it would be quite the unpleasant vacation spot!

[raises an eyebrow]

Not so bad as compared to what? Also, what are these frog things?

[She's pretty sure that last one's a stupid question, but she's never actually seen a frog before.]

What it could be, I suppose! And that ship. You shouldn't stay too close to it, actually - it's begun to creak in a very unsettling way, of late.

[She smiles, waving a hand absent-mindedly.] The wildlife! Everything here seems to be at least part frog. Ah, except for the butterflies. They're quite normal.

[she regards her surroundings again, so the machina is called a ship]

Yes, I seem to remember having to crawl my way out of it. It's about as well-maintained as a ruin.

[and the frogs...lulu looks out at them, and looks at the butterflies, trying to make the comparison.]

So the frog part has to do with the configuration of the hind legs, and the hopping?

The Farplane? Um, we're on a planet.

[relaxes *just* a little. thankfully no one can really tell from the cage.]

I see. So we're not dead. That's a step in the right direction.

...I've been told the ship crashed on this place but I got here after that.

It's appearing to be that way. How did we get here in the first place?

Ah, another newcomer! I see you've already made it out of the ship... [can't help it; she's impressed] How in the world did you manage it in that dress?

[now that she thinks about it; it is strange]

Luck, mostly. I must have started near the outside, without any huge obstacles in my way.

So, that's a ship, you mean like an airship?

My name is Lulu, by the way.

Well, any of the rooms would have been floors away... But I'm guessing you started in one of those lovely orange suits, hm? I'm glad you've already found a change of clothes!

Airship? [blinks] I guess you could say that. It's a spaceship. Or it was, when it worked.

I'm Olivia. Nice to meet you!

[Lulu winces, just slightly, at the memory] I determined that I could not tolerate that suit. Tight in wrong places, loose in the wrong places.

[takes a discreet, measuring look at Olivia.]
You can relate, I'm sure.

Definitely not those places, sorry to say.

I wouldn't be. That means we're probably alive.

Any reason it wouldn't be?
