Yeah, it really doesn't/didn't feel that way but thinking it through logically there aren't a lot of probable explanations :S

Were you buying The Sims 3?

Because if so, I bought it with an EFTPOS card and was free of any kind of age ID requests despite looking ridiculously young (as I'm often told).

Though, were you buying it at Noel Leeming? Because they seem big on the "take phone numbers at random for no apparent reason" thing.

Yeah, Sims 3 at Noel Leeming.
I didn't realise they take your number when you buy stuff.
