Anyone that's considering buying/getting a not-so-legal copy of Microsoft Office, get OpenOffice. It's like M$ Office, but better. It supports loading and saving in all of M$ Office's document formats, plus a load more.

Get it! Now! :p

Although to be fair - I look back at certain years of my life and realise I drove friends away through being pretty miserable. In my case, I had a clinical condition that made me like that - but people aren't interested in that, by and large. On the up side, it really does let you know who your very good friends are, as they stick by you whatever and tell you if you are being an ass :)

I love lj as it lets me vent :) People often ignore me when I vent on lj but then, I wouldn't have it any other way.

btw - whenever I see you, you are a happy chap. Keep coming to choir! We miss you when you are not there.

It's multiplatform and open source, not just for Linux. :p It works on Win32 as well.

Yes it is better than MS Office, especially when you are a poor college student/full-time worker like me. I needed something to write my lesson plans with since they have to be in doc format and my brother hasn't returned my Office 2000 cd yet (and probably will never). Anywho, come to the dark side we have OpenOffice...
