I hope you don't mind if I print this out when it's all said and done. I absolutely adore it, the interplay between Batman and Craddock, between Batman and Raven, and Raven and Craddock.... it's all so masterful and so very different, and just-fnkdfnk eeee I have no words.

I especially like how you described the world as seen in the border between living and death (Dare I say...limbo-vision?) It's very weird and cool in my head. ;~; Just as it was intended to be, I imagine.

Good to hear. ;P I'm not familiar with the Gentleman Ghost, but he was believably written; and I'm used to intuiting things, having read so many stories and known so many people characters.

Raising an eyebrow, Raven obliges. ‘Gentleman Ghost Escapes From Blackgate’ stares up at her in bolded ink. “I thought they released him.” Her eyebrows furrow.

“They were about to,” he replies over the rim of his coffee mug.

“And then he … escaped. As they were coming to release him.”

“Yeah.”

“Did he know?”

“Yep.”

Raven fights the urge to bury her face in her hands, but deep down, she’s not all that surprised. The thought only makes her want to facepalm even more.
