An excess of it bothers me too, so I try to keep it to a minimum, but some still slipped by. He just does it so often in Japanese, which is the language I watch the show in, that I can't help it when I hear his voice like that in my head.

Aside from that, I'm glad you like it thus far. :D

*grins* I didn't even notice, for once; chalked it up to Yukiko's signature enthusiasm. Though come to think of it, Jodie would be...interesting...to write with language in mind.

I was impressed with the realism of setting at the beginning, though of course it didn't last...Hopefully we'll see more of it when we get our hero(es?) to his favorite stage.

I like where this is going, and I'm very happy we have a new recruit who can get characterization right. A little bit awkward in one or two places (the line that begins "It was becoming a familiar routine..." could perhaps be reworded, for example), but that's the beta in me speaking. Well worth the read; I hope you continue.

As for the heart symbol, try "hearts;", with an ampersand in front. No spaces. Why Dag hasn't magically appeared (withpinksparklies) to tell you this before me, I have no idea.

Edit: Ahh, 'white heart outline,' not the regular black one. Tricky. Apparently it depends on both browser and font; try wrapping just that symbol in a font face= HTML tag. With face equal to a font like Batang which has everything. I'll give it a shot here.

I'm trying to strike a balance between describing certain settings and actually getting the plot/dialogue to move along. XD;;

It's not been beta'd yet, so maybe that's why... D: My writing is so erratic that I should find one, but I always feel self-conscious about it.

And the heart symbol works! Yay, thank youuu. I'll fix it ... soon. *oh god is so lazy*

Yeah; it seems to be working so far. I wouldn't worry too much about it...not that, judging from the rest of your comment, you're going to stop. XD

I'm actually the comm's beta, and I'd be happy to beta for you, but I've been piling myself with work lately and barely have any time. Maybe in a few months? If you keep posting I'll comment with a "Hey, I'm free now..." one of these days. Or you could e-mail things and they'll just sit quietly in my inbox until I have time to look them over.

Any time. ;P Hahahahahaha. I'm also supposedly the comm's laziest member. *mod who never tags or posts* Though I might hand that title off to you, looks like, 'specially if I get too lazy to work for it.

Hmmm, the style is pretty good, and I should join the choir, regarding your characterisation skilles ( ... )

Thank you :D You'd think that with so much canon to work with, characterization might be a bit easier, but apparently not, as I found. I'm glad to hear I'm doing it right so far.

Yeah, I don't think he's ever going to just up and say, "Well, it's been so long; I have no more feelings beyond the platonic for Ran." I think his feelings for her will always be there because they haven't had a chance to be realized and ... well, I don't want to say "purged", but worked out the way the would have been had they been able to have a relationship to test it. Still, he's a lot denser in human interactions (especially with girls, oh my god Conan you fail that those), but he'll come around... eventually. XD ( ... )

"Ai so tops, so very hard, but Conan still wins on occasion. It's what make the pairing so interesting and not stagnant. >3"
Hehe, yes. I love to see the dope toping from times to times(hey, I want my fanservice with Conan protecting/comforting Ai... :p) but it's so gooooooodd when she owns him... X3

"I'm hoping to stay! XD Now if only the rest of the story would tell me where it's going.... >__> "
Don't worry and took your times. Readers would always prefer quality to speed, regarding updates.
